Hello my dear Steemians and Art Fans,
Today I am back with acrylic painting. Those of you who preciously followed my Artworks know that I used to do paintings very regular. Lately, I have taken more responsiblities from my work place and that takes majority of my time. On the top of that nomination for @booming Community Support program took the rest of my free time.
Now while on Holiday and still in Isolation for another week I am trying to catch up on some painting, like I did yesterday. The weather was cloudy so no direct sun, but warm so I can spent time out in our garden.
For the topic I have chosen my favourite one children, they are like completely different species, they are honest and open. They have their own ideas and point of view. That is why I could not resist and do this painting.
Luckily was able to finish by the end of the day and today wanted to present exclusively on Steem blockchain.

It looks cheerful and nice. Painting is a great activity in isolation. It means both feeling peaceful and productive.
I really liked this definition of children. I have drawn two children with their mom. It was my first child painting so I discovered that it was so hard to draw an innocent face.

Did you know that there are some mediums for acrylic paint that extend the drying time? So if you need to, you can use acrylic paint almost like oil paint.
On the contrary, there are mediums that speed up the drying process for oil paints, which reduces the waiting time to apply more paint. Even more, there is an oil paint called Alkyd that is very fast drying.
You can keep this in mind if you decide to paint in oil. I think you would get very good results if you paint with oil in the same way that you do with acrylic.

Sorry for late reply, I have read your comment earlier but did not have time to reply. I heard about the mediums that can extend the time for drying acrylic paints. On other hand, what do you think long term Acrylic painting or Oil one look better. My husband says that acrylic looks like plastic and Oil paints after drying completely integrate into Canvas.
I have to read about Alkyd that is possibly something that I could try.
I am really happy to be able to discuss with you such nuances of Painting.

Oil paintings can last a long time if properly cared for but acrylic paint has only existed for the past 70 years, so its full longevity is still unknown.
I think, (it is my opinion) that the plastic aspect of works with acrylic paint has more to do with the theme and style of the artist than with the material itself. I have seen many artworks that I can´t distingue if they are painted with oil or acryl.
I think that the worth of paintings has nothing to do with the type of paint or material used, but instead with the quality of the work.
I have read about the big damages caused fo the storms in Germany as well in Belgium. Hope you have not been affected. Here in Málaga, it's hot, maybe too hot but I like it.
