Hello my dear Steemians and Art Fans,
Whose of you who follow our account for a while know that each year on Halloween I do a painting dedicated to this wonderful holidays. Many say that we became Americanized and taken that Holiday over.
In my eyes, maybe because in general I like mystery and sci-fi, I believe in everything that is difficult to explain therefore, this holiday automatically became one of my favourite.
Luckily today I had a day off so that I can spend my time at home and concentrate on painting.
While deciding what to paint I initially thought about children and Halloween but on other hand I remember my last few paintings that were in more creepy style that is why it was decided immediately: acrylic paints and creepy motif.
The other news is that WOX is one of the communities that is included for November Support Program, with 3 posts a day.

Na, ich denke, ihr „dürft“ Halloween guten Gewissens feiern. Es sind die Amerikaner, die dieses Fest übernommen haben - es ist keltischen Ursprungs. Also fast schottisch… ;-)

Eigentlich hast du recht, der Feiertag kommt aus der Keltischen Kultur. Ich hatte gestern bei der Arbeit eine ältere Patientin, und als wir uns über Halloween unterhalten haben meinte sie es wäre ein Amerikanischer Feiertag. Zu dem Zeitpunkt habe ich gar nicht so weit gedacht. Sie war sehr unzufrieden über all das sinnlose Geldausgeben und die vielen Partys. Auf unserer Straße war dieses Mal nicht so viel los, nur ein paar Häuser waren nett dekoriert.

Bei uns war kein einziges Gespenst... :-(
Lag aber vermutlich daran, dass am Vorabend in unserem Dorf Laternelaufen stattgefunden hat. Da haben die Kinder auch schon vor jedem Haus ein paar Naschis bekommen. Und, ja, hübsch geschmückt war es auch überall... :-))

This is a spooky drawing that I don't want to see on my wall :D In the dark, I liken shadows and lights to this kind of face and close my eyes. So this picture fits perfectly with the concept that I might be most scared of on Halloween :)

Nice painting. Have you thought about adding harsh lights around it? In the dark with just the painting lit up, the effect would be guaranteed 😂

:) Covid and also the age. When I was in my 20s, I had Halloween 3 times a year. In 2021, I even didn't go out. Because ...I had no idea where things could be happening and probably lazy.
And yes covid is in full force in Russia. Almost 1% of the city dwellers are sick. (Though, I trust nothing in Russia, they can lie about numbers, diminish or exaggerate.)

I wish I could paint as well as you do. Painting, like other forms of art, is expressing yourself, feelings or emotions. Don't be scared to be judged: "Many say that we became Americanized and taken that Holiday over", there is no space for that in the art world. Expressing yourself it's always the right way :)
