Hello my dear Steemians and Art Fans,

Today I wanted to present my last work that I started after I heard the bad news that one of the great artists of all the times Sir Sean Connery died on 31th of October.

For me it was clear I will do Sean’s portrait, it took me few days but and I finished yesterday evening that is why I wanted to present it to everyone who also like me a fan of this amazing and talented actor who many know as James Bond, James Malone in “Untouchable”, an Egyptian immortal in “Highlander” and of course the father of Indiana Jones.

Sean.jpg

When we go to the very beginning we all know that Sean is a Scottish actor who was born in Edinburgh. He is a real patriot and loves his country. Actually his dream was to see Scotland as an independent country from UK, that is why despite of his many recognition he received a recognition by Queen and title “Sir” very late.

Every time when we walk in Edinburgh we love to visit the place where he was born and think that those street that he also was walking on for many years ago. The funny thing was his own family has two nationalities, his paternal grandparents immigrated from Ireland and maternal side were native Scottish.

What I also find interesting that in his career he also like my another favorite actor Arnold Schwarzenegger did bodybuilding and he was third in the 1950 Mr. Universe contest.

For many of us for our luck Sean will be always there on other side of the screen

Scotsman forever.

Ушла эпоха. Да..

Да в этом году по крайней мере два актера долгожителя: Kirk Douglas достиг 103 лет Sean Connery 90 лет .

Как бы долго мы не жили все равно этого мало.

Well done on your amazing art work. So lifelike🍒

Hi Diana,

thank you for stopping by, I am glad that you like my work. To tell the truth I really enjoyed doing that, maybe because he is one my favorite actor, maybe that is why it was easy for me to capture his distinct features :)

Wishing you nice weekend...

Hi Stef - You really did capture his features well. Keep on keeping on :)

Terrific painting. You have got amazing painting skills.

Hi Neeraj,

Thank you for stopping by and for your feedback. It is of course a pleasure to hear such words, especially after spending so much time for this work. But also because of such personality, that only means that you like Sean too :)

Have a nice weekend :)

Great job! Nice work. What media are you using? crayon? chalk? colour pencils? or a combination of all.

Hi Vincent,

First of all thank you or stopping by, I am glad you like my work. I love to use soft pastel pencils and chalks, normally on pastel paper but my ones are all finished so I just used simple sketch block.

Thank you for your reply. :-)

Lord Sean will be greatly missed, at least we have his movies to take comfort. Great portrait dear Stef, i hope you are fine and safe:)

Hello George!!!

It is my pleasure to see you around again. I know you are busy with many other things lately and probably Covid brings its unexpected stuff too.

But I am glad that you visited this post and also like this personality, so we have that in common. It is always a pleasure to hear your comments like in the past. Without you and many other curators who we knew before, Art world became so quiet. What fails is the communication and exchange of opinions and impressions that I really miss.

We are all fine and safe, luckily in our little Scottish town the number of Covid is relatively low and the population is small too.

I have not heard about much trouble in Greece too. Hope you are well too.

Thank you for taking you time and your comment.

Wishing you lovely weekend...

Thank you for this lovely comment. I am really pleased to hear such feedback to my work :)

lovely artwork of a portrait as always @stef1

Thank you very much Theia, as you know that is my favorite subject of course after seascape, that actually I have not done for a long time, probably will be time to get back on that :)

Excellent work.

I admire your ability to create this work of art.

Thank you @adeljose for your feedback and appreciate your words :)

Buen trabajo :)

Thank you :)
