Visiting South England: Old part of Poole

 

Hello dear Steemians

 

While being on the seaside of Poole we decided to see if there is any interesting historical part of the city and were nicely surprised seeing couple of houses that could play a good role in old time movie.

The first photo shows an old building that is built in 1350 that is one of the oldest building and I was surprised to see that it is in a great condition. The name of it is "the King Charles", what I love in old buildings is how they are decorated and having this name we can see the shield reflecting a picture of a King."

There was also a restaurant there but because of the rain it was crowded so we decided not to go in.

 

 

We continued our walk along the street and saw some more buildings that were interesting but they did not have great character like the first one. Our goal was to find a nice place for coffee so we just continued.

 

 

Here is another building next to the "the King Charles" but this part in built in Tudor style and has white colour. What I like is that the house is decorated with fresh flowers, that always brings a little bit of life to any buildings. The doors were open and it was another place that many tourists visited.

 

 

 

 

Here is the building is closer, you also can see that the street ends to seaside.
 

 

A little away from here we can see the old church, somehow the churches make me always feel like been brought back in time. It feels like the doors will open and there will be people coming out of church in old time traditional dresses.
 

 

As the other highlight I wanted to show you the big street art on the wall of the building. That was impressive, the size of the wall but also the beauty. It was clear that the theme is sea life fit well to the character of this city.

At the end we found a place for our coffee but because it was too busy so I took no photos but we enjoyed our coffee.
