Hello my dear Steemians and Art Fans,

Yesterday we received a tip and call for help from one of our user:

image.png

@xaviduran is one of the active World of Xpilar community user, he takes part in different contests throughout the Steemit and of course this case raised his suspicion. He did a post about that and notified the @open-theworld Community who were hosting the Contest.

This is the winner announcement post, just out of curiosity please visit this post and look into the comment chain:

This is just a snapshot:

When even ordinary user can see that there is something wrong then it might be really obvious abuse. That is why we decided to look into those accounts and here is our results.

MASS DECEPTION AND ABUSE CASES

We decided to see who were the lucky 5 users who won main prizes:

@dormantmind, user who won main Prize of 50 Steem

The account activity is only one within last 3 years and that it is on 22/09/21 at 08:11

*@dynet, the user who won 30 Steem

Let’s look at this lucky winner, again the same that the account was sleeping for 3 years but then one attempt to post 4 month ago and then exactly 10 days ago

The account activity and you see that this user posted exactly on the same day 22/09/21 and at the same time 08:11. Maybe that is lucky time that the winner will be chosen:

@salmanrauf is the third lucky winner of 10 Steem

The same story, account was inactive for 3 years and 5 days ago posted one post and immediately winner!

@steemcurator01 and the Steemit Team, please be aware about this fake community account that is not supporting ordinary users but doing Mass Deception with attracting the users with such High Prizes of 100 and 150 Steem. But at the end the whole Steem remains within the same user or users.

In our opinion it is real organized Abuser on Steemit that is using the good Intention of the Steemit Team to support Communities and Contest. That was the reason why this account is created to attract attention of @steemcurator01 and get into the Support Program.

image.png

There are few sort of Abuse:

  • Deception of Steemians, attracting them with Prizes but keeping them, like playing with little kitten showing the mouse but taking it away
  • Plagiarism, every user had the same text copied and pasted without correction and that was completely ignored. We know that one of the condition for Community support Program is fighting Plagiarism
  • @open-theworld had created a post:

image.png

  • Is it a joke? Or is it arrogance?

We would like to attract the attention of everyone to such accounts and if you see them then do not ignore but fight abuse.

If you like what we do, please support our Initiative, it takes a lot of time and research to collect the evidence and we are working hard on keeping Steem blockchain free of Plagiarism and Abuse.

As always, faithfully yours we are Guardians of steem,

Thank you for this report @stef1.

Thank you for taking it to consideration.

Hi @steemcurator01, please find this post about Plagiarism, the user despite of completing achievement for newcomer with the post that she composed about plagiarism herself posting such plagiarism. I was wondering if this is a single case? It seems like those new users after they finish their achievement just left along and nobody guiding them, despite of inviting those people initially.

Wow, Id seen this happen before with individual accounts but on a community level that really is disappointing to see. Especially when WOX has not been getting the support it deserves.

Excellent work

Thank you.

Hello dear friend @ stef1 good day
I will never understand this kind of thing, I cannot believe that there are people with these skills and tricks of deception. Excellent work, congratulations
I take this opportunity to wish you a splendid day

The reason is simple to receive reward and support. There are many tricks that people will try to implement and they are very creative in that. They better to use their creativity for something that is really positive, that would make more sense.

Great work, friend! Will keep eyes on this person too...

Thank you @fendit :)

... and the payments are returned (almost at the same time) as a "gift":

That is like a circle of life or maybe recycling. We will see how he will spread the next prizes for his next contest.

Hello @stef1, Many thanks for the mention.

I have to add that if you go a little deep into that 'community/cave of burglars", from the very beginning, each contest that they have release, their behavior was exactly the same, so for me, it is clear that the 'cave' was organized with the only aim of stealing the money from the Support Program.

In my opinion, the Program must have some kind of control over the communities they support. Until we found out the plot, more than five months have passed and I and I highly suspect that there are other communities doing more o less the same.

One more thing, three months ago, when I report to that community a suspicious case of plagiarism, I had exactly the same response:

'Thanks for your information I will make action as soon as possible.'

I have seen that such posts with the same text he was posting in the past too. I just can't understand what he wants to tell with that. Either he is stupid or he just playing openly presenting abuse, like in "Catch me if you can". I hope that with this attitude of open deceptive cases, the community has no chances to be selected.

I agree with you, there are could be some other communities like this who is just created for this sake. I think if this case would not become so obvious they probably will continue doing what they doing. I have seen their new post, of course they now need to accept the failure and show their reaction.

If you will do any deception post, you better to post via "World of xpilar" and not other one because then I would be able to submit to @booming account for support.

Thanks for your response, your support and motivation means a lot for me.

So, may I publish the post I make yesterday in the "World of Pilar" ? It would be great for me!

The community account has published a new post:

He says that he have hired a few moderators... Hiring moderators !!?? Hummmm...

And the moderator in charge for contests had... Five inactive accounts!!??

The winners have returned the awards.

Everything is a sad joke.

And I am getting suspicious that the person behind the open.theworld account is the same person who gave out the prizes.

Anyway, if it weren't for the sadness I feel about this dark side of human behavior, everything he says would make me laugh my head off.

Greetings to all the good people on the platform, of which I am sure there are many.

Link to the post from their community account

I left my message, I think he needs to do another post and Announce winners and give the Prizes to people who deserve them. We will see what will be the reaction.

Just one more question, from the way he behaves and acts, I am more and more convinced that there is only one person behind this whole mess.

Maybe that is lucky time that the winner will be chosen

Stef, I love this part of your investigation so much! made me really lol

This is all such a plain obvious abuse that... why waste your precious lifetime on this?

You never know what is in the head of others, but in this particular case I think there is one person with perhaps split multiple personalities. You are right that is really wasting time to do that.

but in this particular case I think there is one person

...with a clear intention make money in this crooked, unwelcomed manner. so he created this jerks mini-circle and work as a puppet-master. we do not want this on Steemit, obviously.

Como siempre haciendo una excelente labor y un arduo trabajo para encontrar esas personas que dañan el ecosistema de Steemit.

Thank you, we recently became steemcleaners, as there is unfortunately no such service on Steemit.

Gracias por su buen trabajo @stef1 y @myskye
que el valor de la honestidad brille en Steemit , estemos atentos.

Terrible how many blatant abusers of Steemit.
Thanks @stef1 for exposing such accounts and the people behind them. Great work!

Thank you Diana, for stopping by, seeing that the people who submitted their works for contests and hope for fair competition feel very disappointed, I hope these people will not repeat that mistake.

You are so right @stef1 People must feel very disappointed that some are flying under the radar and stealing rewards, which should be going to ethical and honest contestants :)

Good post

that´s so sad that these guys don´t stop to cheat at all of us, there must be a more effective way to kick them in their buts, maybe it´s time to block some accounts to state an example against such miserable practice against the normal and loyal users of Steemit ;)

I think these accounts are the community's own account. Otherwise, why all the steem was returned to the community account?

Nice article keep it up

What could we say...as in all human communities, there will always be all kinds of people, the rich, the poor, the honest, the thieves, etc.
Thanks for staying on the right side and for the great task you do.

Wow ... I didn't even know it could happen. I am new to the platform and trust others. Not so long ago I got a message and was invited to their community. With a promise of good and much support. I wrote one post from them, but didn't get much support. And I never wrote to them again ...

good job buddy

Hi, I have noticed that too, there are really plenty of sources for this image and if user would simply admit then it would be OK, but because of his lie I have flagged him.

Oy... the lengths people will go to to try to cheat the system! Well done for going down inside this and figuring it out.

This is very disappointing. People are just too greedy that they can do anything to satisfy their greed. Thank you for fighting it

I have found an art thief, are you interested in people sending you information on art thieves?
