The rules and rewards of the SPUD4STEEM contest are as follows:
The contest runs from 00:00 UTC to 23:59 UTC on the first day of each month.
The participants must have a reputation of 30 or above, and a Steem Power of less than 20,000.
The participants must power up at least 100% of their wallet STEEM balance on the power up day. They must not power down or transfer any STEEM within 7 days before or after the power up day.
The participants must make a post on Steemit with the tag #spud4steem, and include a screenshot of their wallet before and after the power up, as well as a link to their power up transaction on steemd.com.
