Pencil Drawing Of Our Local Dwarf Goat | 100% Graphite

Hello steemians and my fellow artist/creative minds in @worldofxpilar how is the weather over there? Happy new year. Welcome to 2025. I pray for peace and God's intervention in California. What I saw is so sad.
I'm back with something different. This year is gonna be great. I got a lot to share with you. Stay tuned.

Okay let me get down to the business of the day. I'm here to present my most recent realistic graphite pencil portrait of my recent personal piece I did for myself.
The drawing is one of my best portrait of local goat.
I took my time and sat down to draw our own home grown which we use for meat here in west Africa.
There's this interesting facts I just found out about goats that really blew my mind. Number one, goats have rectangular pupils. This shape allows them to have a wider field of vision than humans and other animals that have circular pupils.
Two, goats are versatile, domesticated animals kept for meat, milk and fiber. They are intelligent, social and difficult to herd.
Three, goats are herbivores animal.
That's just a few from the numerous facts that makes the dwarf goat special.

Here are the steps on how I did the portrait. I made my sketch then started shading it gradually. Starting from the head, hair down to her face and to the whole work which includes the legs, body and tail.
I made sure I did a very good detailing for a clean finishing.
