When attending the American Film Market, I usually stay at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows on Wilshire Boulevard.
Another regular guest of this establishment is Arnold Schwarzenegger, who frequently enjoys breakfast-meetings there. I once bumped into the Austrian Oak in the hotel washrooms of all places, but was too starstruck to strike up a conversation. Probably a blessing in disguise, because it would have been a little creepy…
Fortunately, I got to meet my hero on another occasion when I acquired a film he was involved with, so it all worked out in the end.
Meanwhile, The Fairmont decided to honor their famous patron with a massive mural overlooking the hotel gym.
