Visited a local Uzbek family in the ancient city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, and experienced their traditional culture. We tasted the local specialty 'plov,' which was full of ceremony. The plov was cooked deliciously; even though I usually don’t eat rice, I had a full bowl.
The locals here seem to have a high happiness index, and life is more relaxed. There's a 3-hour time difference from home, and the food is quite similar to that of Xinjiang.
Samarkand was a vital stop along the ancient Silk Road, a hub for cultural exchange during that time.
Очень красиво накрыт стол. А подача плова просто великолепная!
