The life of a tree.

When you look at big trees with scars on their trunks and branches, it might hit you differently. For me, I'm just amazed at how they fix themselves and keep growing.

Imagine if trees could talk. I wonder what advice they'd give us about handling life's tough moments. They go through obvious challenges like lightning strikes, storms, droughts, vandalism, and more, but somehow, they still heal and keep growing.

I always wonder, how do trees manage to do this even when life gets tough?

Like trees, our bodies also bear scars from life. Some go away, and some stick around, reminding us of when we got hurt. But there are also scars inside our bodies that we can't see. These hidden scars might bring pain and discomfort, making us reach out to doctors for help.

Learning to listen to our bodies and how we feel is probably the first step to healing. Disease is exactly what the word means - i.e. dis - ease - the body is not functioning as it should be due to a variety of reasons like unhealthy food, lack of exercise, pollution and so on. I believe that the body is able to heal itself so long as we are able to eradicate the influences that are causing the dis - ease.

The next time you go out for a walk, take time to look at the trees that tower above us - with many scars - and yet are standing tall and majestic and flourishing despite everything.
