Pencil drawing "portrait", New Competition (No 01): Pusscoin

Since this contest is aimed at promoting the Puss coin, I decided to make a pencil drawing of the puss coin.

Firstly, these are the list of tools I used to make the drawing.

Now I would breakdown the steps of how I made the drawing.

I started by fixing my pencil into the compass..
You know why I used the compass right...?
It's for a perfect circle.
There are about 3 - 5 circles in the drawing and I needed to get them perfectly.

So, for my first diameter , which makes the outer circumference. I used 6cm
meaning my radius would be 3cm.
And with that , the space between my compass pin and the pencil tip would be 3cm.
So, as you can see in the photo, I placed the compass on the meter rule to take my reading.

When I was done taking my reading, I placed the pin at a suitable position on the A4 paper and drew the circle.

After that, I added other circles with smaller diameters. Just like it is on the template.
Then also used dots to indicate the number of stars and thier positions.

When I was certain with that, I started sketching the cat in the middle of the coin. I also shaded all the stars, did the deeper shading with the Charcoal pencil. And lighter shading were done with the 2B pencil.

Also , the stars were also shaded with the 2B pencil.

Now, I was done with all the other stuff. So , I went back tho complete the cat.
