xpilar world on Sunday XIX
This contest was held by @sultan-aceh as a Moderator and supported by @xpilar as a public figure.
Good afternoon steemians friends, hopefully healthy always, friends in this afternoons edition I will post the type of praying mantis that I found in the Aceh forest.
if we look, the praying mantis is a type of insect, whose shape is very unique and funny, the praying mantis, can be found in rice fields, swamps, ponds, lakes, river banks, gardens and forest edges.
The sentadu grasshopper or praying mantis is an insect that belongs to the order Mantodea. In English, this insect is usually called the praying mantis because of its attitude that often looks like it is praying.
The praying mantis is a carnivorous animal, the type of animal that is usually eaten by the praying mantis varies, from small insects such as crickets, butterflies, and bees
The most unique and creepy is his habit of making love. The female praying mantis will immediately eat the head of the male grasshopper once mating is over. So a male praying mantis during his life will only experience one marriage and one sex and then die becoming the prey of the female grasshopper. For the sake of love, this walang kekek (praying mantis) is willing to die at the hands of his partner.

Praying mantis can live either on plants, shrubs, vegetables or on tree branches in the yard of the house. The presence of praying mantis in a certain amount will suppress the insect population that harms plants. The praying mantis acts as a predator by eating small insects that disturb plants such as caterpillars, ants, aphids, small grasshoppers, stem borers etc.
That's all I can tell about the world of praying mantis, steemians can add insight and knowledge, here are some snippets of pictures that I can take, greetings from @village-ucup
