Happy steemit friends!!!
Today my bike is having problems again. The only privately owned motorcycle that always accompanies my journey anywhere, both to work, to campus, to join steemian, and also takes me to events including steemit events. My motorcycle is a Supra 125 R which was released in 2010. Although the motorcycle is old school, it is still able to accompany me anywhere until now.
The initial problem this morning was that the rear tire was leaking. Even though at that time I wanted to go to meet a steemian friend. Unfortunately, in the middle of the trip I experienced this unfortunate thing. I tried to drive more carefully so that the tire would not burst until I got to the workshop. Although I had to pass about 2 KM, I finally arrived in the town of Krueng Geukeuh. Arriving there I immediately stopped at a workshop called Putra Juang.
Actually, a few days ago I was not there to tighten the chain on your bike that had started to loosen. Even at that time the workshop worker had said that the chain had to be replaced immediately because it was no longer suitable for use. But because the conditions at that time were inadequate I was short of funds, so I told the workers at the workshop to just tighten the chain to at least be able to run for a few more days.
So today the rest of my savings have all been taken to repair the vehicle. First, I had to check whether it was still feasible to stick it on or if it had to be replaced.
After the tires were checked, the workshop said that the front could still be attached because I had told them to save a little. But he said the chain must be replaced immediately otherwise it will have problems in the front such as fear of breaking during the trip or even destroying the rear, again lately the sound of the chain on the vehicle has started to be big, it feels like breaking.
So at that time I decided to just replace the gear set which included a chain and 2 gears at a price of IDR 160,000 (58 Steem). The repairman immediately took out the tire for inspection and then taped it up.
After the inner tube of the vehicle is removed, the repairman puts air back into the tire to make sure where the leak is, looking for the leak by putting it in water.
After finding the location of the leak that is not severe, finally the patching process begins. There is also a glue burner for tire patches using electricity so it doesn't take long just a few minutes to finish.
While waiting for the tire patching process, the repairman began to open the front gear to replace the new one. Sure enough, some of the teeth of the front gear were damaged and even broken, so lately the chain has been making a lot of noise, making it uncomfortable to drive.
The process of replacing the front gear does not take long because it is enough to remove the bolts and then immediately pull out the work and replace it with a new one. However, before replacing the new one, the edges of the gear were also cleaned, which had rusted with traces of oil that had become dirty and even accumulated with black sand.
Next, the circulatory process at the rear was carried out. However, since the tire was ready to be patched, the rear gear was installed at the same time. After reinstalling the tire and installing the rear gear, the chain was replaced with a new one.
What took a long time when changing the chain was adjusting it, fortunately the repairman was experienced. So it only took a few minutes for him to finish adjusting it properly.
After all is done now it's time for the payment process. The total cost that I have to spend today to repair the vehicle is IDR 160,000 for a set of gear changes plus a tire patch with a cost of IDR 15,000, all together IDR 170,000 (63 Steem).
