Since yesterday the island of La Palma in the Canary archipelago has been in the news because of the eruption of the volcano Cumbre Vieja, 'old summit' in English.
With this image from the island of Lanzarote I want to show the volcanic nature of the Canary Islands. The photo is taken from the cliffs in the north of the island towards the tiny archipelago Chinijo, a group of islets that are each a volcano, currently inactive. In the foreground is the small island of La Graciosa, the smallest inhabited island in the Canaries. Only 400 people live there permanently.
All the images I publish are made by me.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
