I wrote this post 3 years ago and now I want to ask the same questions again
And at the same time, we need to ask ourselves what we can do for our beloved platform
Does he have any thoughts on investing more in steem / steemit and lifting steem to new heights?
And what does Steemit Inc. think next?
Steemit team with @steemcurator01 and booming accounts do a great job of helping others build their own SP
But we miss steemit blog and the roadmap that was and we could communicate with them
What do you think, how can we get a roadmap together with @justinsun and Steemit Inc. and market steem / steemit further to attract more investors and developers now
If you are a developer, join the debate here and come up with your ideas
Those of you who want to read the comments from the old post can find them here
What has been done in the last 3 years with the roadmap proposed by steem inc and the witnesses?
I hope that witnesses and developers can join this debate and I will tag some of them here:

I am reminded of the open letter from @justinsunsteemit.
It's not like there's a shortage of ideas. But yeah, it seems that there have been multiple changes of funding/direction and nobody (outside Steemit) knows what the current direction is. My assumption has been that JS was demoralized after the Witness Wars, and Steemit was left with skeleton staffing/funding level that's not able to do much more than just keep the lights on - although, as you point out, they have done some creative and useful things with their curation capability. So kudos are well-deserved for that.
I'm totally guessing, but I suspect that what is needed is not just ideas, but ideas that can be implemented by means of voting power in order to rekindle support from the owners - also, ideas that don't depend exclusively on Steemit, but can be implemented by cooperative community action. Some quick thoughts:
1.) I really like the "Teaching Teams" concept. I agree with @steemitblog that this can be a USP for Steemit. But, I would be more utilitarian about it. Don't just teach generic concepts, but teach things that are useful here. Don't teach "programming" and "algorithms", teach github navigation, steemd or condenser, or interaction with the API, etc... If it's not a skill that the Steem ecosystem can directly harness, then don't teach it. Not only does this this generate useful skills for the blockchain, but it shows other small businesses how they can change training on their products from a cost center to a revenue center.
2.) Put out a formal marketing Request For Proposal (RFP) asking professional marketing organizations to submit proposals into the SPS and let the community choose the best for funding.
3.) Steemit (and the Tron Foundation?) could find people on staff to use Steemit daily, the way that Elon Musk and Linda Yaccarino use Twitter (while maybe toning down the controversial topics). This would be a real, identifiable person, not a nameless/faceless XXXXXX01 account. Frankly, if none of the premier stakeholders use their own platform actively, it's a hard sell to others.
4.) Partnerships with firms like Brave, Dlive, Rumble, LBRY, and others beyond just advertising their products. For example, Brave could ship BAT tokens to Steem creators the same way they do with YouTube; and videos could be embedded in condenser.
5.) A development program that's funded by the SPS and modeled after the DARPA Grand Challenge to fill strategic needs for the ecosystem.

I am currently running a basic programming course for beginners, and I am enjoying it a lot.
Looking forward for new applications, I will take your word and I will prepare a "How to interact with Steem API using JavaScript course", this would be interesting to guide new developers to use it.

The course related to steemd/condenser or how to use the API sounds great! I would love to learn that side of the platform.

Not full time anymore, used to be for a couple of years, worked on 2d hyper casual prototypes, now I do it in my free time and I am trying to focus on learning to draw and model as it's pretty expensive to buy these things nowadays.

I find it remarkable you can tag that many since with me notifications do not show if I tag more than 3 people and I turn out to be not the only one.
What I like to know if there ever has been a talk with Justin Sun. All I remember is fights and a lot of anger. Today I ask: Who is in charge? Is Justin still ignored, and abandoned by his own platform? Does anyone know what he wants?
If I was Justin I would attract investors and reward them.
By now I only see that happen for a part, that part ignored or scolded at/envied by those who don't understand why it is that these investors earn that much (at times for a bad post but in many cases not at all).
I am not sure what is meant by "for our beloved platform" since it is not ours and someone else (two people) owns it. As long as it isn't clear what their plans are it's hard to promote something no one knows what s/he is actually promoting.
There's a lot of mystery, hidden whatever to make promoting possible so it would be good if we all are more updated and can take the same road to make Steemit and Steem strong. As long as we make a huge difference between races, investors and us (us as in me and the smaller fish) no matter how hard the "plebs" of Steemit try nothing will change for the better.
It would also be good to help out those who want to invest, invest in the way others do who don't join a club. How come they can and there rest with a club can't? Isn't it time to open up and explain in easy language how everyone can grow? It might be the solution to hold more Steem and grow it stronger or perhaps we should let go of it since Steem is for short-term investors not very attractive.

I am not a developer. But if you imagine that I am a cool developer, I have fresh ideas, I can make a great product... am I ready to offer this product to a place where there is no roadmap for development and the project owner is keeping a pause of silence? ...
I will also probably pause and observe the changes.
Apparently, this is partly what is happening.
The same applies to investors. Everyone loves certainty and predictability.
I'm not talking about the cryptocurrency exchange rate and market behavior. Everything is unpredictable there, if you are not a big speculator player. I'm talking about our platform as a project that should have a development plan.
====================

Justin Sun and his team have no eyes on steemit. Then there's just tron more. Steemit aside, trx is now almost the same price as steem. Every user is concerned about the estimated steemit and the steem price. We need to plan for new investors to grow. Therefore, the steemit team, the steemit management team must cooperate with the developers and use the witnesses to promote and hold meetings and conferences. Otherwise the price of steem will never increase.
Thanks for watching the various steps we look forward to.

The platform is definitely changing and, as it seems to me, in a positive direction. And you are right when you talk about a roadmap. That it is needed. I have a couple of ideas. But I will tell you about them only when I can finish writing some code :)

in my opinion the platform should attract more users who sort out current information. I don't think a person who wants to be informed about what's happening in the world today opens Steemit. Steemit is currently a collection of beautiful personalities all different, but there are no areas of information. These areas have remained on the personal sites of journalists or on youtube or on X
