A healthy ecosystem, do we have it?

in hive-185836 •  4 months ago  (edited)

On Steem, many communities are primarily focused on generating rewards through content creation and curation, often overlooking the critical role developers play in the platform's growth. This creates a disconnect where short-term gains are prioritized over long-term sustainability. Developers, essential for building and maintaining the infrastructure, tools, and innovations that keep Steem competitive, may feel undervalued and unsupported.

To ensure Steem's future, it's crucial to bridge this gap by incentivizing development work, fostering collaboration between creators and developers, and promoting a shared focus on long-term value creation.

Fragmentation of Focus: The Steem ecosystem is large and diverse, with many different communities each pursuing their own goals. This fragmentation can make it difficult to unify efforts around platform-wide initiatives, such as development projects that require broad support.

It's time we all have a common goal, communities and their users should show their support when developers announce their tools to the community on steem. How you show support is to show your interest and comment on posts to the developers and vote on the post

There is hard work behind developing tools that you can use on steem and most of them are also free to use. But it is not free for the developers, remember they pay for server rent and domains

We are Real witnesses and Developers

The Steem ecosystem has been getting stronger as a whole, today we have more individual and community accounts with good voting power to provide support, now we must raise awareness to support developers who promote good applications and tools that involve a great effort.

Yes, it is important to support them

I have always been a fan of good things
and I appreciate people with strong passion to achieve a sustainable goal. This is why, most times I do volunteer to test and give a feedback on tools or development made by developers in the blog.

And this is me saying THANK YOU to all the genuine developers/witnesses in the blog.

We appreciate your contributions, tireless efforts in building and maintaining this incredible platform.

I also wish to highlight that your strong dedication and passion have created a unique and empowering community like STEEM.

We truely appreciate your hard work, commitment, and continuous improvements that make STEEM a great community for content creators and investors.

Hopefully, we would see more developments in the future...like "gamification and SEO optimization" (just a positive wish).

Great, that's nice to hear @ubongudofot

I want to give a huge shoutout to all the developers and witnesses in the Steem ecosystem. Without you guys, none of this would even be possible. You're the ones keeping everything running smoothly, making sure we all have a solid space to share our creative content and ideas. Honestly, the platform would collapse without your hard work and dedication. So, a big thank you for everything you do – we really couldn’t do any of this without you!

And @xpilar, you're truly a pillar of this community. I can’t even imagine what things would look like without you around. Your dedication and contributions are unmatched. Please keep up the amazing work; we need more like you!

A healthy ecosystem, do we have it?

Ermmm... It's not perfectly healthy, I guess, but not the worst also...

Thank you for your kind words, I wish the best for everyone

Healthy ecosystem, do we have it?

In my opinion, we already have a healthy and running ecosystem, thanks especially to the steemit team, who have made many changes, rules in giving awards to the community, content creators or steem users, I personally am very happy for now.

Likewise, what the developers do, thanks, because many valuable and important things are done by developers and investors, without them, maybe steem users cannot enjoy new features as time goes by.

right as you said @xpilar ... it's time for collaboration between the community, content creators with developers and promote a shared focus on creating long-term value.

just a suggestion, maybe, in the future, each community in steem, has 1 person who translates content created by developers, to repost and introduce the hard work of developers, which is useful and can be known to be used by all steem users.

Totally agree, this is a good idea

thank xpilar

Thank you for your understanding and for the help you provide. We do have a certain financial burden. But we are enthusiasts who want to make Steemit better. :)

want to make Steemit better.

Afortunadamente hoy día estamos viendo muchos cambios!

Yes, there are many changes now and we are all going to make steem great again

On the Steem platform, many communities tend to focus primarily on earning rewards through content creation and curation, often overlooking the crucial role that developers play in the platform's growth. This has led to a disconnect where short-term gains are prioritized over long-term sustainability. Developers are essential in building and maintaining the infrastructure, tools, and innovations that keep Steem competitive, yet they may feel undervalued and unsupported. It’s important to recognize that only with the active participation and innovation of developers can Steem continue to grow and maintain its unique advantages in the competitive blockchain space.
