The morning and afternoon activities of my sister Alyaa and I are just going through the routine at home, since we are on school holidays, and today I helped my mother do household chores.

Mother's lunch menu

My mother had prepared her main lunch menu, which is one of our family's favourites, bakso balado tahu. After finishing cooking and cleaning the house, we then had quality time together at home while chatting.

After lunch and dzuhur prayers, we took a break for the afternoon. Akhu only woke up when Asr time had arrived. I then invited my sister Alyaa to take a shower and get ready, because this afternoon we were going to buy a surprise gift for my mother.

Well...on 22 December in my country Indonesia is celebrated as National Mother's Day, and my sister and I today want to show our love and attention to our beloved mother on this special day. For me the figure of my mother is a loving woman, I know she has sacrificed a lot and struggled by working hard, in order to meet the needs of us children. She always gives the best for us. We love and cherish her very much.

After showering and praying asr, I dressed up a little, then I said goodbye to my mother to leave the house, I left on a motorbike with my sister. We said goodbye to the city centre. Mum had no idea that we were going to prepare a mothers day surprise for her.

Previously I had ordered * homemade pizza* at our regular place, on the pizza we asked to make the words ***happy mother day****, we went to pick up the pizza. Arriving at the destination, I immediately went in and took our pizza order and I paid IDR 100K for 2 boxes of pizza.

My sister Alyaa and I had saved up to give her this surprise. After that we went again to the supermarket where we bought my mother's favourite snacks, because she likes chocolate so we bought 3 chocolate bars then, milk and pie snacks. After paying at the cashier we went out.

Finally we looked for a flower bouquet that provides fresh flower bouquet, upon arrival at the flower bouquet seller, we then chose flowers and asked to make a bouquet, the price of the flower bouquet we bought was IDR 65K. After we finished arranging the flowers into a bouquet, we went home especially since it was already late afternoon.

Once home, we immediately set the food, namely pizza, bouquet and snacks on the table. Luckily when we got home, mum was in her room. After everything was ready, we called her to come out and showed her the small gift from us as a surprise on Mother's Day.

My mum looked very happy to see what we had prepared. She said she had wanted a bouquet of flowers like that for a long time, she was also very happy to get a chocolate snack. She hugged and kissed us and thanked us. We then took a picture together.

mum was happy too. It was worth saving up to give her this little surprise. We always pray that our mum will always be healthy, long-lived and happy. Mum's happiness is our happiness too. As children we are definitely not free from mistakes, hopefully our mother will continue to be with us to guide us through all the obstacles of life.
