Wishing all my Steemian members are enjoying the beginning of this new year. I’m so excited of getting the new contest announcement about making a portrait. This is a new experience for me and I love to show some of my creativity here. The reason I’m here today for participating in the "Pencil drawing portrait, New Competition (No 01)".

Designed by Canva ProToday I’m going to share a portrait of the famous comedian, actor, and filmmaker "Charlie Chaplin". Hearing the name I’m sure we all imagine the face of a little man who wore a hat, big shoes, and a little mustache on his face. Without saying any word or sentence he always makes us laugh with his mischief actions and performance.

At the beginning of my drawing, I drew the hat shape in the middle of the A4 size paper. The mid-curved shape of the hat drew here. Then I drew the face shape and his two ears shape. On the right side under the hat, I drew some small hairs of the man.

Under the hat on the left side, I drew his curly hairs upon his ear.

Hereafter into the face shape, I drew his two eyebrows, eyes, nose, and lips. Upon his lips drew the shape of his small mustache.

In this third step, I drew his eyeballs and the eye lashes around his left eye.

After that, I drew his neck shape and drew a shirt collar shape on it. Around the collar, I drew a scarf and into it drew some small polka dots.

From this fourth step, I started sketching my drawing, first I sketched his hat. The layer in it and also the edges of the hat were darkly sketched.

His left curled hair I lighty sketched and the right side small hairs sketched darkly. Two ears of him were also sketched light and the edges of the ear sketched darkly. His shirt neck and the scharf darkly sketched. The rest portion of his shirt was sketched lightly.

His two eyebrows are darkly sketched. His left eye was also lightly sketched and the eyelids and the lower lids sketched a little darker. The nose shape on the left sketched a little darker.

His right eye was also sketched in this step. Then I darkly sketched his mustache.

At this end step, I lightly sketched his lips. The edges of his face sketched a little darker. This is how I ended up with my pencil sketched.
