As usual, I woke up early in the morning and performed ablution and offered my Dawn prayers after which I sat back to recite the Quran and also revise what we did last week in Arabic studies before attending the Arabic class at the central mosque.

Going to Arabic studies and also bought porridge for myself and my roommates for breakfast
The Arabic class starts at 6 am and ends at 9 am by 6:30 am I was already present at the mosque and the class commenced with the recitation of the Quran by members of the class. After we finished with the recitation of the Quran we then continued with Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) and we were able to finish with the topic of this semester which was Hajj and Umrah (Pilgrimage).
We then learned the last subject for the day that was Hadith i.e. the sayings of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). After the Madrassa I passed by to buy porridge for myself and my roommates.
After we closed Arabic studies, I was having a handing-over ceremony to attend which I was to be part of. It was a GMSA handing-over ceremony and I was the elected General Secretary for GMSA for which we were to be given the mandate to be given the power.
Due to the handing-over ceremony, I came home to make preparations for the program by ironing my clothes and waiting for the time of the program. The program was set to commence at 4:00 pm prompt.

Outgoing Executives about to hand over files to incoming executives
When it was 3:30 pm I left the hostel and started moving towards the mosque as we were told to come early before the program commences. I got there at almost 4 pm and the number of people there wasn’t that much so we waited for a while before the program begins.
In a few minutes time, there was a commotion which caused a lot of issues to the extent of extending and changing the time of our program to somewhere 7 pm.
The program which was supposed to start at 4 pm commenced at 7 pm due to some commotion that was raised during the program. With all things being equal, the program was successful in the later part when they settled the issue.
The program began with an opening prayer from the outgoing Chief Imam after which a Quran recitation was done by the outgoing deputy Chief Imam.
The next on the program line-up was a speech from the outgoing President which was done but before then members of the high table were acknowledged including the Chairman of the program who was none another person than our noble Patron (Professor Baba Seidu).
The next of handing of files from the outgoing executive to the incoming executives after which refreshment and offertory i.e. giving in the cause of Allah.

After that, we had a brief speech from the incoming (current President). He gave a great speech which was very touching of course. After he was done we had a closing prayer (remark) from the incoming or current Chief Imam which graced the occasion or ceremony.
It was a great and memorable occasion to have been part of it. It was indeed a memorable and a great experience to be part of the executives and also being part of this august occasion. I then came home and rested for the day.
Thank you all for your time and attention
