Hi to all steemians on this community,
I am very excited to write this post on how our meetup went.
Early morning today, all members of steemians in our hostel started preparation for the meetup.
We took our bath around 8 am and we fully gathered infront of Paradise to take Candoo (yellow yellow) to the location.

We got to Mayaga at exactly 9:45 am and we navigated via the Hotel.
Our transportation was taken care of by our moderator, our admin, our leader @njaywan .

At exactly 10:10 am, the meetup commenced and an opening prayer was said by @cherub27, after which an open forum was opened for @cherub27 to give a brief history on steemit.

The MC for the program was our own member @debbyann, whom really steered the program successfully.
But before @cherub27 gave his speech, we did introductions of ourselve by menyioning our names and also our usernames on steemit.

He talked about steemit and how it flopped and later boomed again within some years. He also added that steem started on 2016.
After that, he also touched on content netiquettes, plagiarism and also the tokens available on steemit.
After his speech, an open forum was then opened for @farhmade to also give a short address about steem, where he touched on how to get upvotes. He explained that we should try to always upvote each other and also read give comments on each other's post.

After his speech, another open forum was opened for @alhajibabajnr to also give a speech on how to navigate and get to know the best communities which befits you the most.

But before his speech, he asked five questions where any one that answered it had a give away of 20gh cedis airtime. He asked about what the 2nd achievement task talks about. All his five questions were answered and he really fulfilled his promise.
After his give away questions, he touched on how to search through steem and get to know which communities befits you.
He also adviced us to always try our possible best to stick to a community that befits us and we shouldnt just post and leave but also try to comments and vote on others post as well.
He also adviced each and everyone to always read every community's rules and regulations before posting in any community.
After @alhajibabajnr address, we halted for sometime waiting for our lunch. They played music and some members enjoyed the music with dance.

In about 15 minutes time, the food was set and ready to serve. Each and everyone was served to his/her satisfaction, and even if needed more tou can still go for it.

They served jollof rice and also fried rice with fried Chicken meat.

I really enjoyed the food very well. There was refreshment as well, where we were served with malt.

After taking our lunch, that was when an open forum for opened for our leader himself @njaywan to address we the newbies on how to profitably utilize steem.

He also throw more light on plagiarism and its effects as a steemain. He also adviced us on how to submit good post by using markdowns, how to cite our sources and also how to get copyrighta free images.
After his speech an open forum was given to all members to ask questions. He address all questions that were asked. After exhausting all questions, he gave a closing remarks and a closing prayer was done by me.

I think this is the best ever meetup I have ever had in my lifetime. Hoping to see more of this in the coming years.
