A day in the life of a student nurse.
Hi, steemians I'm here again with another dairy post. This is a brief post on how my day has been.
As a daily routine, I woke up from bed around 5:00 am, said a prayer, and made my bed. Then prepared for class. As a nursing student in a training institute, my weekdays are busy throughout.
I got to class at 7:00am to wait for lectures to begin at 7:30 am. In a day, I have 3 lectures with intermittent breaks in between. Today, my lectures were on Surgical Nursing, Gerontology, and Medical Nursing.
Today's surgery lessons were based on some diagnostic tests for the Gastrointestinal System such as colonoscopy (looking into the colon), laparoscopy(looking into the peritoneal cavity, pelvis, and abdomen), and proctosigmoidoscopy(examination of the lower rectum and anal canal)
On Gerontology, which is the study of the aging process and care of the aged, we learned about some theories of aging. This study gave a clear and in-depth knowledge about how aging occurs and some factors that can speed up or retard the aging process among human beings.

Finally, in medical nursing, the lecture was based on assessing a patient with an upper respiratory tract infection taking into consideration objective and subjective data from the nurse and patient respectively for diagnosis.

At the end of the lecture the tutor said he had an announcement to make. The class was so quite and attentive. Only for the teacher to call out my name to present to me a gift for toping the class as the best medical nursing student for last semester examination.
This kind gesture really made my day today. I become so encouraged to learn more to maintain the position as the top medical nursing student. The gift had the inscription EVERYTHING NICE I pray and hope that this inscription manifest in my life.
Classes came to a successful end at 4 p.m. I got to my hostel had a good sleep and prepared for studies. Got to the library to study cos the semester is gonna be really hot!!! Guess what....!!! It's WEEKEND 💃💃💃.
