Contest: Questions People Ask When You Go Out To Do Steem Promo by @dalakloe

Hello great Steemians of @steem-ghana. It is nice it continue in this interesting journey day by day. This contest by @dalakloe is quite interesting. It brought back strong memories of my early days especially the very first day I joined the Steemit platform. I actually flooded out a sea of questions to @utibeoeffiongart who introduced me to it.

What does it offer?

To be frank, I really do not believe there was a platform that could be paying me for simply expressing myself without me having to register with huge fees. When I got to know about Steemit, I was so perplexed as to why this opportunity would be offered to me free. I doubted it's authenticity and had serious cold feet.

Not until I was shown it the details of some persons work and even how they were gaining from it that I started to believe. I was still skeptical when I signed up. My doubts got cleared only when I started making progress.

Today, I get newcomers ask me this question a whole lot. Now, I only smile when I hear it. It has become very easy for me to respond to it because I have so much evidences and poofs to show. So, I simply walk them through my profile and that of some others and the case is settled.

What does Steemit Stand to Gain from my Participation?

Yes, I actually asked this question in those exact words. As a realist, I love to understand all the angles to a thing before I proceed into it.

Anything looking good usually gets be wary. So, I asked to know if Steemit is just dashing out rewards without earning anything in return because I am aware that every venture or enterprise is launched with the primary aim of being sustainable which implies that it must earn revenue.

Though I did not quite accept the explanation I was offered initially but I settled for it. Now, I am fully grounded about what this is about.

• First, Steemit owns the exclusive rights to all contents published on their platform. As such they have the liberty to use to for any commercial engagement or another.
• They contents on Steemit belongs to Steemit. It is like the user selling it off.
• Also, Steemit receives the revenue from the signals accumulated from user's contents. The revenue from people's interaction with the platform in form of clicks and data usage goes to yield value for Steemit.
• Furthermore, the engagement of users with the tokens attached to Steemit helps to promote these tokens as well as increase their value. Increasing the market share of Steemit tokens as well as building acceptability and popularity of the currency are great benefits that the platform enjoys.

These are many other reasons are serve as suitable response to that question.
So, I do give these answers to those who have similar queries.

How Easy is it to Earn Rewards?

This here is a frequent question I come across regularly. I too, had this question. I wanted to know what level of stress and work I needed to pass through before I could reap all the inviting rewards that Steemit supposedly offered.

Well, this did not need much talking. I was able to scan through the articles and contents created by current users. I even went through some of the demands of some contests and assignments and discovered for myself that I had nothing too difficult to deal with. It was not quantum mechanics, all I needed to do was to be open, real and intentional.

It was not as if I needed to manufacture stuffs from the wind. I only needed to relate with my environment and brain and then produce something unique.

Now, if a newcomer or novice raises similar concerns, I just smile at them and ask that they relax because they had nothing to worry about. As far as they could read and write and had access to a digital device they were good to go.

Future Prospects

• So, going forward, I want to be able to use Steemit to obtain in-depth knowledge about the operations and all the aspects of cryptocurrencies. I am aware the Steemit Crypto Academy is poineering this process and I am ready to embrace it in totality.

• I also which to be able to conduct exchange with Steem. First, I will try to get enough Steem tokens then I will use it to transact with other currencies.

• I also want to use Steemit to be able to express myself more by building a good reputation and develop quality contents.

Well... There are still some other questions that I get to answer from persons when I go to promote Steemit. Some of my own questions that I asked are still there too. However, for this article, I would love to just pick out the few listed above.
