It's obvious that if you don't change your ways or lifestyle, the society and the modernization Trends will help you to change your way of living. We live in a society where the living standard has risen due to the lifestyle of people. We look at what the majorities of people are doing and also do the same thing whether we have the means of doing or not.

One of the challenge we are facing for the bachelors is hyping of marriage prices. I am using bachelor here since the gents who request for marriage of ladies in our Ghanaian societies. It has become something like norm and tradition that one need to weigh huge money to marry ladies, whether they can afford or not. The major thing we need in marriage is both families agreeing in the marriage through simple marriage rites. In the olden days, cowries are only needed representing money. It becomes a sign of agreement by both marriage.

Can we compare at the time cowries are accepted for marriage today? There a wide gab. Yes, we agree that things have changed. But, how have we hype the marriage rites. One need about Ghc 20000 + before the man can complete the marriage rites. Some go the extent to hiring a car, renting a place for refreshment and many beautiful things. All these become a debt waiting for the man. Do we consider those who are economically handicap? Since the society is championing hyping of marriage, at times one cannot escape these challenges but to adopt to.

Consequently, this is driving most Guys from marrying. But parents and societies still press on Guys who are fed up falling victim to this challenges. They continue to blame Guys not preferring early marriage. This is one of the challenges we are all facing. Sometimes, the man after marrying will go and cry of debt and economic hardship.
