How steem has transformed my life

Thank you very much @farhmade for bring up this contest. I’ll be lying if I said steem hasn’t impacted my life. After my final year SHS exam, I must confess I haven’t written an essay or whatsoever before until I joined the steemit community and for that, I’m grateful. I recently joimed steemit and for the first time I wrote an essay in like 3years, that’s probably hard to believe but then it is what it is. Having said that, how do I explain to someone that steem hasn’t transformed me especially in that regard? I couldn’t possibly explain.

Also, steem have made me believe in myself. Sometimes I doubt myself as to whether I can come up with a post, and the next minute before I realize it, I’ve written something worth reading. I recall when my friend introduced me to steemit, “I was like look bro, this writing stuff isn’t me”. Well, as a good friend, he encouraged me and gave me reason to try it. The first few weeks was awkward because it seemed like I wasn’t being me. But then, I gave it time. As at now, writing isn’t an issue and that’s thanks to steem.

Back in the day, during my JHS and SHS days, I never practiced for an English essay. It wasn’t just my thing. But today, here I am writing essays. I’m grateful to steem for this.
