Faith

Ride on my back,
I am the horse that races on the wrinkled sea to deliver the fruits of your dreams,
I am the sun that rises out of the doldrums to shine on the path you daily tread,

Ride on my back,
I am the sky firm and strong to my roots,
I can endure every storm that dreads,
To deliver the colour I so cherish,
The beautiful blue garment that I wear.

Ride on my back,
You shall have no ground to fear,
I have conquered the deadliest species and buried them alive,
Hold me like a faithful friend, I won't betray even your spouse,

Ride on my back,
I have traveled around the world with soles bare,
And sowered like an eagle without blinking if only to enrich my vineyard,
Cling to my back where a mother's warmth is found,

I am Faith,
Ride on my back,
I am the wind that backs the clouds in their varied loins to daily drive across the sky without fatigue,
Though the winds may rage to threaten my soul,
I am calm and still deliver them all to their destinies.
