Greetings to all and sundry,
It is a beautiful day and a wonderful week from this side and we hope that you are all doing amazing and having a wonderful time. We are happy that you have been with us all this while and we are optimistic that you will continue to be with us and enjoy our lessons and healthcare tips.
For our lessons for today, we would be looking at technology and how it affects our eyes and what we could to protect ourselves and our sight from the damage that these tools pose to our health. We hope that you enjoy the read.
Tech and the Eye
Research has shown that technological devices emit variety of radiations to the atmosphere and for those with screens like our smart phones, our smart TVs, our laptops and the likes they emit something that we call blue wavelength to its users eyes.
These blue wavelength are quite short and are able to penetrate the eye easier getting deeper into the eye. This makes it difficult for the mechanisms the eye has in place to protect itself from harmful radiations to work against this wavelength since shorter wavelengths move faster and penetrate easier.
Research has thus found out that this blue radiation is responsible for numerous conditions that affect the eye the most common been dry eyes. It is even linked to glaucoma formation and progression and may facilitate the condition know as macular degeneration.
How to protect yourself
There are few tips and tricks we can apply to protect ourselves from the blue wavelength and these are easy tips we can put in place to make things better for ourselves now and for our future.
Most tech tools have now been fitted with a safety feature for the eye and all you have to do is turn it on. It may come in the form of blue light protection with the eye as a symbol or night light. All you have to do is turn it on and you get to protect yourself.
Again you need to make sure that you are using your gadgets in bright light since dim illumination opens up the pupil and allows more of the radiation to enter. Aside all these though the best safety feature you can implement is to visit your optometrist for the blue-block protective lenses.
These lenses block these radiations 100% and enable you to be absolutely safe and free from the variety of conditions that afflict us as a result.
Conclusion
So there you have it, a simple way to protect your eyes and your sight for the days ahead. We hope that with the acquisition of this knowledge things would be better for you in the days to come. Many thanks for your time and we wish you the absolute best. Stay safe and have a wonderful time.
Technology as it is doing as good, is also causing us slow problems. I am glad you could share this educative information for us.
Greetings bro.
