THE DIARY GAME: 25/03/2021- I FIELD TRIP TO FIEMA MONKEY SANCTUARY

Hello guys, i hope everyone is kicking well. i have a little diary game to share. My day started as early as 6am. As usual i did thank God for waking me up to see sunlight once again. I hit the gym to do some aerobics so i can be active to face the day.

I would like to share a field trip i took with my group members to a town called Fiema which is located in the Brong-Ahafo region of Ghana. I will like to share a little history we learnt from them.

Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary has its underlying foundations dependent on African Tradition, culture and religion focused on fraternity, earnestness from man to creature.

The African has a solid faith in his divine beings. European Christians brought Christianity into Africa, hence changing numerous African's over to the love of Christ. This implies that the African should discard his way of life and the confidence in the love of their divine beings. Some African's notwithstanding, chose to adhere to their custom and culture.

In around 1827 Nana Kwabena Panin, the Chief of Sesedom, a suburb of Boabeng was dispatched by Nana Damoah Kwaku, head of Boabeng to give a bit of land to individuals of Fiema who had then moved from Kokofu in Ashanti and had gone right to Nkoranza.

Monkeys which pass on either through mishap or normally are given entombment by the Fetish Priest of Daworo. A final resting place is given; the monkey will at that point be enveloped by a calico before it is placed into the casket for internment.

It is believed that when a group of Black and white colobus Monkeys make an un-usual noise between the long stretches of 11.00pm to 12 PM, an older individual from the Twin-town will pass on.
