Foes across the border
Sending more missiles
While being viler
That they don't bother

Like a destructive hurricane
Bombs flying like fine kites
Descending fast to bite
Hated friends in severe pain

This unprovoked aggression
Hurts the soul
As it takes a great toll
On lives cos of the invasion

This acme of mindlessness
Birth by massaging the ego
Culminates in hurting the toe
Out of sheer senselessness

Those who beat the drums of war
Are quick to approach a haven
Thinking they are truly in heaven
After making the city an eyesore

The enormous fear that rents the air
The pangs of hunger that hits harder
The rape of sisters by unknown fathers
While the condition is hard to bear

The acute shortage of essentials
The horrifying scenes of deaths
Without celebration of joyful births
Keep the main actors in denials

The goons who make the scene gory
Stand to shout in pain when afflicted
By their viciousness when inflicted
By acts to create an unpleasant story

Alas! The wailing mothers come
In sobbing eyes and tattered clothes
Drenched in sweat and loathe
Without a rousing welcome

Husbands conscripted against the will
To fight an innocent enemy in error
Furious are they in the camouflage of terror
Taking positions to remain still

No remedy to this than dialogue
In a tete-a-tete to halt the carnage
That's meant to stop the passage
Of souls to the great beyond
