THE DIARY GAME 16TH SEPTEMBER, 2022 || A VISIT TO THE MARKET IN MY COMMUNITY

Greetings to all great steemians on this noble platform. I thank God for showing you all mercy by taking care of you all. I pray that the good Lord should continue to protect you and your family. I woke up early at 6:00 am and did all my morning chores. Am staying alone so all the house chores rest on me. The compound was not looking clean to me at all because I couldn't get time to sweep it yesterday. The compound is big and sweeping it every day is a difficult task. I normally sweep it three days time. I swept all the compound this morning and also washed the plates and other cooking utensils I used yesterday. I fetched water to the bathroom and took my bath before leaving the house to town.

PLANTAIN MARKET

Today happened to be my community market day, one of the biggest market in the region. Nsuta market is very large and very beautiful too. Almost 90% of the population around the area counts to this market to buy and sell their products. Most of the products which are largely cells in this market our farm products. Nsuta and its neighbouring communities our farming communities that is the main reason why farming products or food products are abundant in this particular market. Among the foods products that are normally sold in this market are: yam, plantain, banana, potatoes and vegetables life cabbages tomatoes pepper onion and many others.

A LOAD OF PLANTAIN

When I finish taking my bath and left the house, I decided to go to the market to have it walk. When I enter the market, I first went to the plantain selling place. Plantain is one of the food products that are largely sold in this market. Mycommunity happened to be among some few communities that produce plantain in large quantities. Touring market days, farmers in the neighbouring communities bring their plantain to this particular market to sell. Plantains are very costly nowadays. In my community, we used plantain a lot because most of the peoples in this community eat fufu a lot and plantain happens to be one of the items needed to pound the fufu.

  ANIMAL MARKET

I left the plantain market and went to the animal market. Nsuta which happens to be mine community have a very large place where they sell goats and sheeps. The good time shifts that are normally brought to this market looks very nice and good for buying. I went closer to them and interrogated with them to find out the price of this animals. I asked the price of a sheep and I was told the big one is 2000 cedis while the medium ones can be sold for 1500 Ghana cedis or 1000 Ghana Cedis. Which means that, the big ones is priced for thousand steem while the medium ones is 500 to 750 steem. I was told the goats price is lower than the sheep. The big goats in it was 600 Ghana cedis which 300 steem.

I spent a lot of time in the market rooming from one place to another. It has been a very long time that I have been to this market so I wanted to go round and see for New things. I spent about 4 hours in the market before leaving the market. I came back home and prepare my evening meal before taking my bath. That was the end of my diary for today.
