THE DIARY GAME || 18TH JUNE, 2022 | MY SATURDAY'S ACTIVITIES

Compassion! Compassion? Compassion? Today is another beautiful day for compassion International at Nsuta Child Development center. As we used to do everyday, today is another Saturday so we have to go to the school to teach the children as volunteer work. This children are the children whose parents do not have money to train them properly in formal education. Today being Saturday, I woke up early preparing to go to the school to teach the less privileged children at 7:30 a.m. I was able to finish with all my house chores and put on my dress and left home for school.

TAKING THE CHILDREN'S WEIGHT

I go to the school at Exactly 8:00 a.m. and went to my class to start my teaching. When we thought for about 2 hours, we let the children went out for break for their breakfast and also play some outdoor games around the compound. When it was time for break, they got inside their classrooms again for their tuition. Today also happened to be the day that nurses are coming to the school to deworm the children. They started writing the children's name and giving them the dewormer to take. Not this alone, they also took the children's weight and their height too. This is what has been going on every two months in the school. Sometimes, they check the children's blood to see if they are free from diseases. After they finished weighing the children and giving them the dewormer and also measuring their height, the children was allowed to go out for their lunch since it was lunch time.

THE LUNCH TIME

The school is supposed to give the children's lunch every time they come to the school. The food they normally eat in the school are ; rice and stew, been the major food and sometimes gari and beans Plus ripe fried plantain. Sometimes too they normally prepare them banku and stew and sometimes soup. After the children finish taking their lunch, it was almost time for closing so we aloud the children to go to their various homes and the smaller children who cannot find their way to their houses waited a while for their parents to come and pick them to the house. After the parents came for their children, we closed the school and departed to our various homes.

 WATCHING THE MOVIES

I came home and rested for sometime since I was very tired in the school because of going up and down and also teaching and helping the nurses to weigh the children and also give them the dewormer. I also sat on my chair for some time to watch some movies like action movies, Nigerian movies and wrestling being the major source of entertainment for me which I like. That was all for today.
