The Vitalizing Benefits of Cabbage Juice

We’re all aware of the fact that vegetables serves as food and food supports the body by providing what it needs, several studies have shown that what we eat can have negative or positive effect on us, this means that, if we‘re looking to optimize the state of our health, we should be mindful of what we consume.

For some time now, I’ve been gathering knowledge on food and how it affects health. I am very much interested in learning and understanding what I take in because as the saying goes “you are what you eat”.

By now you have probably heard about some of the important benefits of fruits and vegetables. A lot of people are discovering and incorporating them as their daily diet.
Ultimately, having freshly squeezed juice is a great way to get some nutrients into your day hence why I’m crazy about morning juicing.

However, I've tried juicing different fruits and vegetables but cabbage was never on that list until I read about its tremendous benefits, then tried and was stunned by its prompt effectiveness.

Over the weekend, I woke up to an excruciating pain in my stomach and couldn’t think of anything else but to try this recipe.

INGREDIENTS

1 Head of cabbage
1 bulb of white onion
2 Green apples

Making juices doesn’t require much and it’s quite affordable, just throw your favourite fruits and vegetables into that blender or juicer. For this recipe, I prepared mine with onion and apples then blended.

DIRECTION

Step 1:
Remove the outer leaves of cabbage
Step 2:
Thoroughly wash and rinse them
Step 3:
Coarsely chop it with knife

Step 4
Throw them into a blender or juicer and add little water to blend.

Then it's ready for drinking.

Health Benefit

Cabbage is known to be a natural power house because of its tremendous benefits, it is an antioxidant, it protects the body from free radicals caused by stress.

My experience tells me it's a great choice for healing stomach upsets. It prevents inflammation, it is used for gut healing, your gut is like your 2nd brain.

The collection of trillions of life forms in your gut, that keeps you healthy, that’s how important the gut is. Cabbage supports the liver in cleaning things out(detoxification).

In addition, cabbage is incredibly versatile and could be used in many ways, eaten raw, cooked, coleslaw, ferment and even juice. It is full of vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin C.

Just like kale, broccoli, cauliflower and radish, cabbage is in the family of cruciferous vegetables.

Juicing cabbage is something you’d want to try especially when having an upsetting stomach. It has a mild pleasant taste that’s very refreshing.

One serving of this juice gives half the vitamin C your body needs for the day, instead of drinking orange juice in the morning you’re much better off having some cabbage juice.

It's amazing how the things we need are right on our plates. We’re so blessed by nature, Make it your thing by taking charge of what you eat.

Having an upsetting stomach? why not try this recipe and always remember to load up with vegetables and fruits, there you’d have enough fiber to feed your gut (the good bacteria), instead of sugar that feeds the bad ones which creates imbalances in the body.
