Steemit Expectations in My Country, Ghana.

Hello fellow steemians. It's another great contest by the steem-ghana community and I'm so glad to be a part of this. This contest is about your personal steem expectations in this country and I'm going to talk a little about it.

As we all know, steemit has got a lot to offer us as individuals. Everyone who joins steemit, when serious, gets a lot of earnings which is actually the main reason for people joining in the first place anyway. Our lives just get better with steemit and we couldn't be much happier than this.

However, it's actually a pity when you try to recruit others and they think it's a scam or something of that sort so they just listen to you or look you dead in the face and after you're done talking, they say "oh ok, I'll see what I can do" or "I'll get back to you", just like in a job interview; it's funny and sad.
By the way, I've got one who wants to join and I'll introduce him soon but he's just one of the many people I've introduced steemit to and even with him, it wasn't really easy. They want to see the real evidence, the sbd, steem power or tronx we show them don't do enough convincing. They wanna see the money always.
I just wish it wasn't like this. I ask myself sometimes that is there a better way to make people more interested? Because they've been clearly scammed before (I'm sure most of us here have been scammed too) and it won't be that easy to convince them.
My expectations about this is that, I just expect us(steemians) to make ourselves well known. I know we are doing a lot at the moment, organizing meet ups(which we only educate ourselves and not those outside) and all that, and I know there are programs in place to get more guys to join; that's actually what I expect, only that I want that to be on the large scale.
I feel people have to know everything about it before they even join.
I want the fame of steemit in my country to be at the utmost level. In this way, more people will join, either with doubts or no doubts, but after they have joined and realised the truth about the benefits like earning and learning, they in turn will recruit more people and the work will be quite easier.
I want "steemit" to be a word that every Ghanaian knows(if that's possible).

The next thing(expectation) I want to talk about is the "helping" or "aiding" part.
Steem Ghana can go a long way and perhaps make history with steemit. How?
Though we have a steem-ghana community here, I just expect or wish we actually had a foundation here too (with a name like "Steemit-ghana", with a beautiful motto) with the sole aim of helping the nation.

We can be a form or kind of an NGO helping massively to the development of the nation and who knows?, the government will definitely recognise this, commend us and guess what will be next 🤷🏾‍♂️. People will just troop in. Our schools, commerce, hospitals, roads, developmental projects etc. would all be better and boom.
How nice it would be to have a Steemit Ghana School where we teach the "real deal" aside the government's own curriculum or even a Steemit Ghana Hospital..😄 I think it would be cool.

It's obvious here that the rate of hardship or poverty here is very high.
Steemit will actually release the unnecessary burdens of most of us when they come on board but for them to come on board, we gotta show them reasons.

Places like the Orphanages or the Children's home, Prisons, Hospitals (you just name them) should be frequent places of visits by Steemit Ghana(if this foundation is created) with the aim of helping people or the needy.
And when I say this, I don't mean it should be done by individuals or a small group, no(it's good by the way). The whole steemit team of the nation, making contributions, getting leaders and visiting big hospitals or places like that. Members can also in turn suggest places we should visit next. What I'm interested in is the impact our help will have on their lives, and the nation's development. It can be done annually or twice a year.
And like I already said, when we do this, people who see this will not even have a doubt over the genuineness of what we do.

HELPING OTHERS

It would just be a grand thing to know steemit has actually changed the country.
There wouldn't be any central man to control affairs, not even the government, because it's a decentralized system and that's actually an advantage.

CONCLUSION

To conclude, I just have a lot in my mind that I want to do with the opportunity that I've got on steem, but when I think about it in some way,I just realize the truth, "I can't do it alone". We are already together but I think it's high time we reached out to the world as a whole and made some impacts. And I'm even sure we would always get the help we seek from the "high people" so we could help the country and ourselves too. I don't know about you though, and I don't know if what I'm saying makes "sense" but actually, that's how far I want steem to go.
We are really doing a lot and I know most of us have that in mind and working towards that. It would really be a dream come true.
