Hello everyone,

As our societies evolve and grow into a more profit-oriented center, how much we stand to gain is our main point of focus these days. We are thought that in order to really flourish in life, you must be self centered and ruthless in all your dealings.

But how much wealth is enough for the human being? If we had a satisfactory point, most billionaires would rather retire after they hit the billion dollar mark. What then is more important in life?

If you ask me these things, I will say the legacy of a person and their reputation is far more important than how much wealth they managed to accumulate in life. This is because, one you build a good name for yourself, you will be forever remembered in the lives of the people you touched, and you family will continue to receive life long favors, long after you have demised. That is of much greater value.

Volunteerism and generosity should therefore lead the way. There is no point in having all the wealth in the world if the rest of the world are simply going to die of hunger and starvation. Similarly, there should be no point in trying to rip somebody off in terms of wealth when we can also help to offer some genuine help free of charge. This is what life should be about.

If we are focused on collective growth and shirk the habit of envying what others have, then we are more likely to gain favors from other people when we are in need too. Mind you, whatever pain or grieve someone is enduring could also befall you too.

These are the principles our societies should be built on if we are going to sustain a better life and a better country.
