Hello Steemit Family
@juzkid with @delakloe @fortune @menak @elliamor1 @kubati
Today Monday, 1st August 2022. The beginning of a new month, I decided to call for a meeting for steemians in Nsuta, Sekyere Central District where most steemians are located. This is the area where I saw most steemians and their passion motivated me towards today and I must also make sure I help them build back again.
Old steemians meet
The meeting was almost rained off due to heavy clouds that were threatening movements, but us steemians who are dedicated, they decided to forgo the signs of rain and join the meeting. The meeting was held close to the District Court Of Nsuta, in @fortune slippers shop since we wanted him to be part of the meeting. The meeting had these old steemians present @menak @elliamor1 @delakloe @fortune @kubati and myself. @juzkid, the Country Representative for Ghana chaired the meeting. We were supposed to meet alot of them, but in some part of the district, there were heavy rains.
These were some of the agenda for our meeting.
Why is there a decline in active members on the platform?
What strategies can be employed in order to reinvigorate active members on the platform?
What can be done to help old steemians get enough steem to power up and join club initiatives?
How can the Steem Ghana community account and Amazing Ghana Community account be put to proper use?
How do we check on farming accounts that thrive in the community?
How members can avoid putting their reliance on booming and know the right tag community curators use that can find their post.
How can steem promotion rise back to its feet again?
How will we work to attract curators support and love back to the community?
What will cater financially for activities that take place in steem promotion?
A major issues that demoralizes people from writing has to do with members that are not voted and why some accounts are frequently voted on the platform. In the meeting, issues of "steemit is about who you know" were risen. It is clear that one looses passion with time, if he or she does not receive equal support for his or her work on the platform.
During the meeting
Members in the meeting shared their concerns and grievances. I then took the opportunity to encourage them to steem on. And also made them understand that building a community around you has to do with human involvement and for that matter, all must come on deck in order to build the steemit community. I was so elated when they said what really pushes one to work hard on the platform is engagement and consistency. They were willing to come back again only if they get the necessary support.
When meeting was about closing
It is our responsibility as steemians to support others to grow. We do not grow alone on the platform. Steemit must open its umbrellas to the parts of Nsuta for example places like Appiakrom, Beposo, Abonkosu, Nintin and neighbouring towns and we need old steemians who have lots of knowledge about the community to help the agenda. We have a lot of task as good steemians, to go to the doorstep of people, know their worries and address each one of them.
@elliamor1 said the closing prayer at exactly 6:30pm which ended the meeting.
