A tour in the upper east region || Part 2|| Kandiga chapter

Hello fellow steemians, I hope everyone is doing well. In my first post on this series, I posted about going to Kologo. This time around I went to Kandiga.

As I stated in my first post that my work is such that we go to different places in the region to take samples for our research work. For your information, I work in a research center so we go and take the samples from various communities to work on in the lab.

This has given me the chance to visit new places in the region. I have also posted some pictures for you to see how the place looks like.

We mostly leave at dawn at around 3:00 am to get to the place early. Today, we left at 5:30 am to visit “Kandiga”. This community is located in the eastern part of Navrongo. We got there at around 6:00 am. We got there late because as most of you know, the place is a conflict zone and going there at dawn will be very risky. The weather was very cold but we had no choice. I took a pullover this time round since the weather was very cold.

We finished it around 8:00 am and we left for the office. After an activity like this, you are allowed to go home, make up for the night and then return to work to continue working.

Kandiga is a very nice place. They have a dam, a big market area and hospitable people. They share a border with Sirigu, a community I will be visiting soon. Majority of the land is used for farming. The settlement is scattered so the community looks large but with few houses. In general, it is a nice town but the only thing is there is a conflict in the area and would not advice a non-native to visit the place.

Below are some pictures I took of kandiga
