The Diary Game: 04/05/2021 - My first meeting at the Ministry of Health, Plateau-Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Hello guys,

It’s another day and I’m excited to add up to the diary game. I had contacted @head1 about the failed verification on my achievement 2 post, knowing that it may increase my reputation. I planned my day so that I may have a positive energy during my day because I really needed it, so I had no reason than to focus on what’s ahead.

After my “morning rituals” which includes exercise, meditation, yoga, bath and preparing for the day, I was ready to take my breakfast. I was served by a wonderful lady by name Loviè and was set up for the day around 8:30am. I had to meet an old friend by the name Stephainè N’gessanne whom I met in the year 2015 in Nigeria on an international assignment. He is a citizen of Ivory Coast but learned English as well. I had previously contacted him before my arrival in his country and proposed that he becomes my translator during my stay and the meetings I was preparing to hold which he gladly accepted. We decided to meet at his work place at Pullman Hotel which was quite far from the place I lodged.

Breakfast with Ivorian bread

He gave me directions to his workplace and I ordered for a ride to where he was. Since I have great interest for beautiful architectural structures and was fascinated with how some buildings were constructed. I was glad to take some photos on my way to meet him. It’s a pleasure to share a few of the beautiful scenes with you my fellow Steemian. Below are some structures and lakes along the road.

As we meet at the hotel, there were dignitaries coming and the security was so tight that we were not allowed to take photos in front of the building, but managed to take a few ones when I entered. Since my old friend works at the hotel, he ordered for a breakfast for me and insisted that I eat and the time was around 10:36amGMT. Whiles I took my breakfast for the second time, we talked on the agenda that lies ahead so he can have a fair idea of his role and the purpose of my coming more clearly.

With my translator

Our first stop was to Ministère de la santé et de l’hygiène publique cabinet comparable to the ministry of health in Ghana. We had about an hour and half meeting with the other representatives and I must say that the meeting went so well.

Our next meeting was at Cocody- Abidjan to Autorite Iviorienne de Regulation Pharmaceutique (AIRP) where we had to meet the regulators of the health industry for an hour meeting. I was very fortunate to find many informations and deals as we sought for and thank Stephainè for his effort. After a stressful day, I decided to eat “aky3k3” which is a major Ivorian dish with my buddy and headed straight home afterwards.
