Greetings to you all steemians across the globe,another great contest is here and I will like to also share my views concerning it.
This contest is asking us to talk about an inspiring situation we’ve gone through.I will like to massively thank @awuahbenjamin for organizing such contest for everyone to participate.

To set the ball rolling,I live with my parents and brother in a 3 bedroom house.So during last year September we were robbed and this is how everything happened.
My brother is a shift worker so on that faithful evening the incident happened he left for work because he had a night shift so it was only my parents and I that were at home.

At the time I was in shs so I was preparing for my Wassce whilst my dad also had an exam so he had to learn.That night which was on the 20th of September,my dad and I decided to learn together from about 8:00pm to 11:00pm and at that time my mum was already asleep.

So after we were done learning at around 11pm we all left to bed because we were feeling tired and sleepy.
Mind you we were living in a new site so the residents were not many.
As we were sleeping at around 2am at dawn my dad heard a loud bang on the window so he decided to go check it out.As soon as he got to the spot a gun was pointed at him by these robbers where he was directed to come and open the door to the house.
By then my mum and I had woken up and we were panicking and surprised at whatever was happening.

Eventually,the robbers entered the house and they were about 5 with each of them holding a gun,basically a pistol.
They told us to lie down in the hall whilst they took my dad to the room to claim all the money and gadgets he had and after they came for my mum and did the same thing as well as me.

To cut the story short,they got away with tv,huge sums of money,laptops,phones,external hard drives.
The most surprising thing that happened was they took my dad’s car(Toyota Corolla)away which they packed the stuff they stole into it which was the most saddest part.This made my mum cry the whole time and see her cry also made me very very sad.

After the incident,we reported the case to the police and they processed it but they weren’t able to find the robbers.

As this happened we thought we had lost everything in life because almost everything we had was gone even though friends,relatives,and neighbors came in to support with money and encouraging words.We were still going through trauma but with God on our side,we kept on praying and praying to him.

God showed himself to us by giving us more money than what they took and has gifted my dad with a brand new car which is much bigger and expensive than what they took.From that time life has been really good for us.
