Dear lovely people, I am delighted to be back here once again giving some insights about the need to appreciate our cultural heritage.

Cultural identity is anything that identifies an individual as part of a group of people or belonging to a particular clan. It can be either a physical material or something that readily identifies a person as part of an ethnic group or society.

They include;

  • Food
  • Cloth
  • Language
  • Footwear
  • Hairstyle

All the above are things can readily distinguish a person from a group of people and help to determine the origin of a person. That is why it is important for us to showcase this particular identity at all times so that we may find our people.

It is rather unfortunate that in today's world, once someone travels to a foreign land, they tend to leave all their identification traits behind and try to blend into the land within which they find themselves. But this certainly helps no one.

If only they knew what they were missing out on, they would think twice before ditching their culture completely. I have seen instances whereby someone gifted another person various opportunities in life simply because they were associated by a high profile person that shared the same routes as them.

These things happen in life and you never know what the script looks like for you. As such, it is better for you to always wear your cultural identity. Thank you for coming around.
