The Diary Game: 17/01/2022 - Performing Free Refraction for School Children

Dear Dairy,

Hope all is well with you? It is been a while now and i must apologize, i am still trying to find my feet in balancing my work as a teaching a research assistant alongside my other duties. But just as i keep saying you can be rest assured the blockchain is my home.

So on this particular day myself together with my friends visited the school we previously went to screen school children for free, that was on the Thursday the 13th last week and we had to go back and help some kids with refractive errors get their prescriptions for glasses.

Waking up in the morning i treated myself to a a chilled malt drink and bread, because i haven't been eating well recently and i didn't want things to get worse because as a health advocate i had to ensure that i am doing what i preach. We left for the school in the morning around 9am and spent the rest of the entire day there.

We were able to help a total of 16 school children with referrals, spectacles prescriptions and the special care that was needed. Once all was said and done we came back to the university around 4pm. Because of exhaustion we closed and went home.

For supper i bought some rice which we ate before we even came back to school. Due to exhaustion i retired to bed quite early. I am definitely looking forward to a great week and as usual i will be here to share it with you. Until then, Ciao.
