Mayaga hotel, our meetup venue
Greetings everyone and the steemit team,
Yesterday I had a sit down with the manager of the Mayaga Hotel where we will be holding our Easter meet up. This was very necessary in order for me to ascertain the kind of sitting arrangement, address system and the type of meal which would be available for all and sundry.
I actually went there in the afternoon with @farhmade but upon our arrival, she was nowhere to be found. I then used the opportunity to survey the place including our venue (the conference hall).
It is quite spacious and conducive and although 35 people have listed their names for the meetup, we are anticipating about 50 people at the event. Also, there were a few seating changes that I wanted to make but decided to wait for the arrival of the manager to do that.

Later in the day, I came back to have sit down with the manager in order to discuss a few things into detail. We spoke about the venue of the meetup, the cost of food, etc.
About to meet the manager of Mayaga
The available food we can choose for them to prepare are banku with tilapia, rice balls, jollof rice with beef or fried rice with chicken. They have different prices based on our food and meat preferences per head ranging from 25 cedis to 35 cedis for a plate.
However, since we are expecting guests during the meetup, it is best to go for the buffet service rather than a packaged ones. This would provide room for all to be served. I have arranged for cutlery too so it shouldn't be a problem.
Discussing our preferences with the manager
Once we were done, I gave her half of the food amount for the preparation of the buffet meal (600 cedis). So that once they are done, I would add the rest.
She assured me that they would set up the venue for me to have a look later today. So I would be visiting the place in order to update you accordingly.
Thank you for your attention.
Great work done. Thanks so much for your input in this meetup.
