My Town In Ten Pics - Buoho, Kumasi - 19th November, 2020

I live Buoho, a community situated on the edge of the second most populated city in Ghana, which is Kumasi.

I went out to take some pictures of some of the places to share with my lovely steemians 😊. Let me take you through my town.

Buoho station school park

This is where the young guys and the youth in general play soccer during their free time. Occasionally, tournaments are organised here as well.

Charcoal selling spot along the main road

This is a spot near the main road and under a tree operated by a very hardworking woman. She sells these sacks of charcoal and usually comes to work as early as 5 a.m.

Buoho station

This is the main road of Buoho and it is mostly busy with both articulated trucks, sedan cars and vans (trotro). Here is where we board vans/taxis to the main market, Kejetia.

Buoho taxi station

The taxis here would take you straight to destinations like Medoma and Apagya which is in Kodee. I usually take taxis here to visit my family and friends in nearby towns

Articulated trucks yard

This is the yard where transport owners especially articulated truck owners park their vehicles. It was provided vy the chief of Buohoto serve this purpose

MTN Network Coverage Tower

Not only does this tower provide MTN network access for the community, it is also a great landmark which we use to give directions especially for people living nearby.

Mr. Kwesi's Carpentery Shop

This is the nearest carpentery shop to my house. We usually bring wooden items we want to spray or work on here. They are friendly and provide very good services

Our Area Mosque

A certain man returned from Mecca and built this mosque for the community. All are therefore welcome to say their prayers here

Electrical Shop

This shop is owned by a woman who stays in the area. She sells all kinds of appliances, from wall sockets to wires and bulbs. I have bought an extension board from her before.
