We have once again been presented with a wonderful opportunity by @steem-ghana to express ourselves and I think it is a wonderful idea.

About a month ago we noticed steem curators making comments on post and asking people to power up at least half of their earning to earn some extra votes. Many people had not heard about this so there were few people involved. Not until recently when the steemit blog made an official statement about the club5050, club75 and club100 people had no idea what it was. Now these initiative has gained a lot of momentum on steemit and almost everyone is participating.

Incase you do not know what the various clubs are, let me try explaining them briefly.
Club5050 is an initiative where a user powers up half or more than half of his earning for the last 30 days. This means the amount a user has transferred out of his own account to a different account; this same amount or more than this must be powered up to qualify for the club5050. The accounting period for this is one month. For club75, the accounting period is 2 months. This means you must have powered up 2 times of what you have withdrawn out of your steemit wallet. This will make you eligible for club75.

For club100, the accounting period is 3 months. This means in the last 3 months a user must have powered up all of hi steem earning no matter how small or how big it is.
This will make you qualify for club100. Obviously the whole ecosystem is powering up to be eligible for the various clubs but the more you power up and the higher your level, the higher your chance of getting a big vote.

Firstly a user who joins the various clubs have the chance of building his steem power. Steem power on the steemit platform is very much important as the more a users steem power the higher your vote. When uses are powering up they are increasing their steem power hence increasing their steem power and increasing votes. With this initiative I have am almost at 2000 steem power and am sure by the end of the year I will get there; an achievement I only dreamed of reaching next year

Secondly, a user has the opportunity of boosting his curation rewards. A lot of steem power means that you get to give out big upvotes and with big upvotes mean you will get higher curation rewards which at the Ned of your day only adds to the amount of steem power of a user and which means you can increase your voting amount again. We are all a testimony to the steem power than Steem curator 1 has. We see the amount of votes he can give and at the end he gets huge curation rewards. The curation rewards also add up to the steem power he already has.

Lastly, everyone is a witness to the price of steem currently which is at $0.7 , before the initiative the price of steem was below $0.5 struggling to break out but since the start of the initiative we have seen that the price doesn’t like staying below 0.6 and yesterday we saw it break out to reach 0.8 and we can only be happy cause even though we are only removing half of our earning but still not won’t affect us much if the price of steem is high.

With this I will like to encourage all of us to power us and join any of this 3 initiatives as at the end we are all going to benefit from the rise of the steem price.
