CONTEST: TELL US WHAT CAN BE DONE BY LEADERS TO SUSTAIN THE CURRENT ACTIVE MEMBERS!!

HELLO EVERYONE

I welcome you all to my page, am glad to be posting again here and i appreciate @steem-ghana for this opportunity. I wont fail to also appreciate @kookd and @oppongk for coming up with this beautiful contest titled "Tell us what can be done by leaders to sustain the current active members". Greetings to @nattybongo

INTRODUCTION

Leadership is not an easy task. Leaders first of all have their own personal life issues too aside the issues of the people they lead. A good leader always have the best interest of her people at heart.

Here on steemit, steemit is sustained by its leadership, ranging from community leaders to the steemit team herself. Any organisation that is doing well today is as a result of good leaders.
@steem-ghana i believe has her users at heart and thats one of the reasons why this contest came up.

WHAT CAN BE DONE BY LEADERS TO SUSTAIN THE CURRENT ACTIVE MEMBERS

Here are some few things i believe can be done by the leaders to sustain active member and also reinvigorate those who are inactive and then bring new memebers who would stay active.

• Leaders Should learn to least acknowledge every post made on the community :

Every human being on earth loves attention and recognition. And wherever some is given attention and recognition, he is bond to remain there. Now here is my suggestion, For every post made on this community there should be an admin that would visit the post within 24 hours and at least comment on it acknowledging that the post was seen. I remember making a post in one community here on steemit, until the post expired no admin recognised my post. Guess what? That was the first and last time i visited or made a post there. Now that community lost me that should be active. Let admins start leading by example no matter the type of post that was posted. You cant be telling users to comment on posts when the admins are not doing theirs. Some users even go as far as mentioning some names of admins in their post, yet its not been acknowledged.

Leaders Should upvote posts made in the community no matter how small the vote may be:

A going to be very sincere, upvote encourages users. I remember the first time i found @steem-ghana. One of the things that made me kept coming back was upvote. The first time i made a post here, it was a contest i cant remember the tittle, i tried searching for it so i can screenshot it but my network wouldnt allow me. After writing on the contest i got an upvote from the community account and booming. It was so encouraging that i looked forward to participating in another contest here. Truly that was how i became active here in this community. I have a screenshot of an upvote i got from booming in this communty.

Now that #club5050 has come to stay, there are some users who are not in the club yet but are willing to join but do not have either the money to invest in steem or even have SBD to powerup, so right now they feel the best thing is to become inactive. Users who are have not joined yet should be encouraged at least there is the community account, it should be used to vote such people until they have what it takes to join the club.

• Contest on comments and engagement between users should be fixed or organised:

The admins can come up with comment contests, this will also initiate activeness and socialization between the users and by doing so, you have succeeded in getting the activeness of people. It can be done. I have also seen a community that does it. At the end of the contest the winners are given steem because they made the best comments of peoples post, and engaged a conversations.

• More awareness Should be made to users who are yet to join #club5050 showing them the benefits.:

Like i said early, there are people who are still confused about #club5050 and have gone inactive because of it. Awareness can be created on this platform stating the its importance. Even an online class can be held for users. But before then the needs to be an announcement about this class so that users can prepare to attend. If its possible an offline meetup should be held for those who are close by and a detailed tutorial given to them. Even new users can join from there.

• Check ups should be done by leaders to their members:

This is crucial, when a person in an organisation becomes inactive, he or she needs to be checked up. Even active users can be checked up. When you check on someone, he or she feels loved and important. The leaders can cultivate the altitude of checking up on their users or followers especial those who became inactive, find out why they become inactive and deal with the problem if it calls for that. Imagine me from nigeria receives a message from one of the leaders here in Ghana, i will be happy, excited and i feel needed in the community, infact i will take it upon my self to tell people about how i was checked on.

CONCLUSION

To be a great leader you must learn to listen to the complains of your fellowers. Am so glad that the leaders of this community listens and that is why this contest was organised. I thank you all for having me here.
