Today i will like to share with you my steem expectations in Nigeria.

INTRODUCTION

Do you know that generally humans have reasons and expectations why they do what they do? These days most people dont get involve with a business or any other thing without having something in mind. So what then is expectation?

WHAT IS EXPECTATION?

Expectation always talks about the future. Expectation is a believe that something will happen in the future. For example expectation says in two years time steem will become a house hood name in the world. Thats expectation. What you believe will happen.

Now that i have established what expectation is it is also needful for me to also explain what steem or steemit means.

From my understanding steemit is a blockchain social media platform where content writers write original contents and earn from it. Steemit platform pays its users with a crypocurrency known as "steem" and of recent with another cryptocurrency known as "Tron". On the platform steemit there are several communities one can get involve in and participate and learn.
There are several things that one can do on steemit as a platform, one can invest on its cryptocurrency and one can also write. Steemit is the only social media platform designed in such manner.

MY STEEM/STEEMIT EXPECTATION IN NIGERIA

My country Nigeria is located in western part of Africa with 36 states and capitals. Nigeria is ranks top on the list in the populated country in Africa and ranks the 7th on the list globally. It has its population of 206 million people.Nigeria has 3 major languages which are Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba.

Now that you know a little about Nigeria i will proceed to tell you my expectations in Nigeria my country.
My steem expectations in Nigeria includes;

TO EMPOWER YOUNG PEOPLE FINANCIALLY.

In Nigeria with the population i stated above, there are a lot of unemployed young people .The white collar jobs available is not able to go round. So we have more people who are unemployed than people who are employed.
The place of money in a man's life can not be over ruled. When the youth of a country are unemployed and dont have a means of paying bills and taking care of themselves it could lead to increase crime like robbery, kidnappings, stealing etc.

So one of my steem expectation is to empower financially these unemployed youths in my country by getting as many of them registered on steemit platform where they can channel their strength and skill into writing, making original and quality content. By so doing they will get busy and begin to earn from their postings. These will help pay some of their bills, if not all.

More also, young people who are still in school could also join the platform to support themselves financially rather than depend solely of their parents or guardian

AS A LEGAL TENDER FOR EXCHANGE AND TRANSACTION.

We know that the world has gone global and cashless to. Cryptocurrency is leading. Gone are the days where people go about with heavy cash in their pockets. So another of my steem expectation is for steem as a crypto currency to become a legal tender in Nigeria. Every day crimes such as stealing and robbery is at the rise, Having steem become a legal tender for exchange and transaction will even help reduce this crimes because there will be no more cash to steal.

I look forward to steem becoming a legal tender for payments after purchase of goods and services in Nigeria. This will not only reduce crimes like robbery but will also help in the economy of my country.

CONNECT YOUNG PEOPLE ALL OVER MY COUNTRY TOGETHER

The last but not the least of my expectation is to connect the youth all over my country despite the tribe and culture. Steem will give them a neutral ground to relate with one another as friends doing this will help put an end to chaos and riot in my country. Just like we have communities on steemit that houses people from all over the world thats how i expect steem to bring and connect my people together.

CONCLUSION

Am so glad that am a part of these great platform, and i believe that my steem expectations begins with me doing something for my country. The change starts with me!
