The Diary Game(31/10/2021): The Wedding Ceremony of My Bloody Brother

It is a great pleasure to share my happiest moment with you. I am in good health condition and I wish you same and may the good lord guide you through all your life challenges.

It is a great memory as I want share a special ceremony that I attended with you, in fact it was something memorable. Over here during the weekend My Bloody brother was observing his Islamic marriage ceremony and it was a great pleasure to be part.

To start with, everything started on Friday as we share the invitation with family, friends, neighbors and all our love ones. This took off at 8:00am and by 2:15pm we were done with it. After that, we went ahead to the hire canopies, chairs, tents and water tankers to arrange the surrounding before the D-day.

On Saturday morning, all friends and family gathered to observed their breakfast at the ceremony. When it was 8:00am, the Imam, elders and the general youth including me went to the mosque to observe the necessary procedures including the payments of the bride price, witnesses sessions and the Imam performed the sermon and made an oral prayer to blessed the marriage union.

After that we went back to the house and everyone went back home to shower and get prepared for the party to start.

The parting started at the bride home when they observed a dance called “Akwashirawa” it involves the use of local drums and oral singing and people dancing along with it. It was so interesting and enjoyable. Food was shared with snacks and also music was played for the bride to show off her dancing moves.

When it was in the night, at the groom house, a party was observed. The slotted a goat to prepare a light soup and with drink called “Ataaya” it was so nice and delicious. They played games like cards, draft, and oware and others too was cracking jokes till 12:00am when it began to rain.

On the D-Day thus Sunday, the bride and groom then do the parting together at the grooms house. A musical interludes was played, dancing was performed, food and drinks was shared and pictures was snapped freely with all kind of styles.
