Hello lovely people,

Welcome to my blog, I am glad to feature again in this creative community.
This is actually my first participation in a contest in this community, and that is why I want to use this opportunity to thank @kookd and @oppongk for organizing this interesting contest. It is indeed an educative contest of which all steemians in this community need to be reminded of, I am indebted to @steem-ghana too for also giving me the space to share my view on this contest. It is a matter of great concern to all steemians both here in this beloved community and outside this community.
So, below is my little input on the key ingredients in which one needs to add to his/her post so that it would be supported by the steemit curators.

WHAT IS STEEMIT ALL ABOUT?

Steemit is an investment platform that contains or joins together both social media, cryptocurrency, and blockchain technology for the creation of user quality generated content and also for building the community. Apart from direct investment, 90% of Steemit users are content writers either by profession or as a hobby. That being the case, steemit users need to stand out from other steemit content writers who are also striving hard to showcase their content and in the end have a reward and this could be achieved by making the content a quality one.

WHAT CAN WE ADD TO OUR POST SO THAT IT WOULD BE SUPPORTED BY THE CURATORS?

First of all, each community has its own rules which are most times pinned on the community page. So for a post to be curated by curators, a user needs to :

Read the community guidelines:

This is one key factor any user needs to put into consideration while joining a community newly because there are some series of information that would be of guide to him or her. For example:

• There are communities that stress that any new subscriber to their community should attach his/her introductory post at the end of their post.
• There are communities that advise all their subscribers to always delegate 10,15,20 (%) etc of their content payout to the community account in other to boost its power for the betterment of her subscribers.
• Communities advises all her members to always do power up in compliance with the new initiative of joining #club5050, #club75, and #club100.
  And the likes of many other rules.

Now, if those instructions are observed by a user in a community depending on the rule governing the community, such user already stands a chance of being supported by the community and that might give him/her a chance to be curated.

Give attention to the number of words used in a content:

Good content should contain about 250 words and above unless otherwise stated as a rule in a contest that it can be less than that. And in other for us to know how many words we have typed so far, we can either check the bottom of our typing software/Application interface offline to see the total words typed or we can use online tools likeZutrix, the word counter or word counter, etc.

Consider well-formatted Content:

Many users don’t give attention to their content in line with formatting before posting which is very wrong. For content to be appealing or attractive, it needs to be properly arranged. That means consideration should be given to justify alignment and centered heading, picture positioning, and many other formatting attributes which would add beauty to the content and as such, attract curators.

Avoid Plagiarism:

Copying other people’s content to post as if it was yours is stealing, a violation of copyright and so, a victim of such can’t be curated.
In other words, even if a user was to use someone’s content, he or she needs to follow the normal process which is to add a source to such content.

Though original content is well acknowledged and could be curated even though curation is not guaranteed but such posts stand a chance to be curated.

Add the appropriate hashtag
Each content has its own hashtag that should accompany it, depending on what we are posting. A user needs to consider this before posting.

Be active in a community:

We need to be active by commenting on other people’s posts, we could vote or even re-steem other users’ content. Many users ignore this, but, if we want to stand out, then we need to be active by commenting on others' posts.
Our grammatical structure should be given attention to as well.

Other things to add to our post include our location source if it calls for, for instance, there is an activity in this community known as “My town in 10 pictures”. In such cases, a location source is needed to be attached. We could use Word 3Words to attach our location.

As an extra, we could add the device details we used in taking a particular picture.

CONCLUSION

Imagine if all my little input to this contest is applied by all members and also the opinion of other creative members of this community in line with this contest is applied, then we would all become great content writers or bloggers. And we stand a chance to be curated. Note: I stand to be corrected as I am still new in this community.
