This is how I spent my Christmas in 2020 - Contest Entry

The excitement started off on Christmas eve. I met up with my long time Indian friends Myni, Timin, and Riku. We met up at Kabira Country Club. These are my fellow tennis players, it had been about 10years since I last saw them. I was amazed to have seen them again grown up into very big people.

Later in the night on Christmas eve, I roasted Chicken and meat that was to be prepared on Christmas day. It was my very first time roasting chicken and cow meat. It was an interesting experience. Unfortunately, I did not take a photo of me doing the roasting reason being that it was night and dark. There was plenty of food that had to be prepared before the actual; other family members peeled the plantains (Matooke)

On Christmas Day, I spent the day at a family friends’ house in Bweyogerere. I woke up in the morning and helped out with the house chores. I swept the compound and also washed the utensils.
I made some phone calls to lots of my friends and family members wishing them a Merry Christmas and a very prosperous new year. They were so happy to hear from me and appreciated me so much for thinking about them and being a blessing in their lives.

I did not go to church. Everybody goes to church on that day and many just go to church to show off their new clothes that they brought. I decided to stay at home. We had lunch at around 3:30 pm. At 5, I took my sisters on an outing for Ice cream. We need street walking as we headed to the Ice Cream place. Unfortunately, we were unable to get the ice cream because the electricity had gone off in the area and the seller could not sell it to us in liquid form.

On our way back home I bought them chips and sausages. The chips were packed and we took them from home. It was such a simple outing, but they were pleased and appreciated me for making their day quite an enjoyable one.

Chicken barbecue, so tasty 😋. It was a great celebration and thank you so much for participating.

It was indeed enjoyable. I, unfortunately, did not play tennis with them. They played with their coach and I just kept watching them play.

The Food got my attention, looks so delicious, time with friends are almost moments to cherish, we grow up so fast haha, thanks for sharing this with us.
