THE DIARY GAME| 07-28-2021- "Lending Our Hands"

Greetings my fellow steemian friends!

I would like to share my early activity today at home with my family.

It was just yesterday when I went out, I met a pedicab driver when I happened to ride his pedicab. He saw some of our plastic garbage and other scrap materials near our gate. He asked me if he could buy it so he can also sell it to the "garbage recycling business". I told him to come back tomorrow at around 8:30 in the morning so my husband could prepare everything he needed to get.

I told my husband to prepare all the plastic bottles, scrap materials we have including our used air-condition and oven. My husband at first refused because he intended to sell it since it's still functional although old. But gladly I was able to convince him.
The pedicab driver later came as what we agreed together with his son. He told me if he could buy all of it for 10$ since he only have few money left. But I told him, my family agreed to willingly give it all to him. He was so surprised and thankful that he did not expect it.

I also asked my children what they could give to the son of the pedicab driver. They then give me their stock snacks in the refrigerator. The child's smiles were painted on his face as he received what my children gave him. He was so thankful that he did not expect of getting something when he accompanied his father.

My old father assisted them as they went outside our place. The man and his son kept on telling me "thank you so much Ma'am" before they left. But I felt so much happiness that I was able to help their family even in a simplest way. It makes me more proud also as a parent that my children learn the value of sharing and giving.

So that's how my morning ended with full of significant encounter. Thank you so much steemwomenclub for allowing me share my post here.
