INTRODUCTION

Hello great women of SteemWomen's Club Community. It is my delight to parttake in this interesting contest by @steemwomensclub.

Although I am not yet married,I have learnt from my mum, that women should also work and earn a living. This way they will be able to support with the family income. And I plan to do this in my marriage. If my mother wasn't working before I lost my dad,I wouldnt know what would have become of me and my older siblings.

SHOULD WOMEN HELP WITH FAMILY LIVELIHOOD?
Yes, women should help with the family livelihood. A saying goes,"two heads are better than one". Women should support their men in making a living for the family.

HOW DO YOU HELP WITH FAMILY INCOME?

As a woman,it is necessary to contribute your quota to the income. I strongly disagree with the belief that only the men should work and provide for the family. I am supposed to work too as a woman,earn a living and support the family income.

This helps the family to sustain financially. Leaving the man to shoulder all the financial responsibilities can be a huge burden on him. We are supposed to be helpmeet for our husbands. When we support with our income,even if it is little, it helps and is a relief for the man.

This way,the family is able to grow financially because neither the man or woman is overburdened,the family expenses are incured for together. Because we pool our resources together,there will be room for savings and investments .

Just as the Bible says,"one shall chase a thousand,two shall chase ten thousands". With our streams of income as a couple , we are able to make great investment plans together,besides having savings. Doing this,the family is financially strong together.

WHY SHOULD WOMEN INVEST

Investment, to me, is a form of financial empowerment. Savings keep your money but Investments grow your money. Investing is like sowing a seed and expecting a harvest. How much you invest is how much your returns will be. Therefore it is important for women to invest. This is one way to support with the family income. With profits/returns on investment, we are able to cater for the family needs and acquire properties and assets.

Also, when life throw unexpected blows at us such as job loss,property loss etc, we can easily fall back on the investments we have made over the time to keep us going.

And one of the platform to wisely invest is #Steemit.

HOW DO YOU INVEST IN STEEMIT?

•Basically, investing in Steemit requires buying more steem with your fiat currency and powering up the steem. This fetches you more steem through curation rewards from voting and upvoting. I was able to buy steem and power up for the steem powerup contest,January edition by @whitestallion. The monthly contest is #spud4steem,usually anchored by @kiwiscanfly. This has helped me to have more steem power.

•Moreso, setting my posts to 100% power up is a way to invest in Steemit. My author rewards are paid in Steem power. This way , steem power increases. And this means more curation rewards.

Investing in Steemit also helps to grow the Steemit blockchain. So investing pays both the investor and the platform.

CONCLUSION

I strongly advise that women should invest. It is financial empowerment,it is financial back up too. We shouldn't see investing as men's thing. Everyone can invest. With our investment,we can support the family income in a great way. Saving is good,investing is better.
