Hello Steem women, I am so excited to join this Nobel group of vibrant women, a community where women get to gather to share their journies and impact stories for others to learn from. I am so glad I have subscribed to this community.
This is my first contest in this community and I hope this post teaches and empowers another woman so that we can grow together.
As a young woman, I am so passionate about my personal development. I keep learning new things and building upon myself for growth.

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
I believe in discovering one's passion and building on the passion to become a better person. As an individual, I became very passionate about learning sign language to help interpret hearing-impaired individuals in my community. This was inspired by an incident in my church where a hearing-impaired gentleman visited but the was no interpreter available at the time to interpret to him. This deeply saddened me and I took it upon myself to learn the language. For four years now I am still learning new words and improving daily. I am so proud to say that I am a sign language interpreter to hearing-impaired individuals. How did I do this; my mindest was on the impact I was going to make and the willing spirit to learn a new language not spoken but expressed through signs and gestures.
Soft skills such as good personal relationships with others, communication skills, emotional intelligence, etiquette among others are key to my personal development. I learn these skills from books, or from resource persons who have knowledge on such topics and put them into practice. Being emotionally intelligent helps me build on my mental health. I get to know the distinct temperaments we have and live well in good relationships with others regardless of their attitude.
Growing in spirit every day is a must-have for me. Daily praying and reading the Bible has been a great help in growing me spiritually.
As a student nurse, the need to be healthy is very vital to me. I get to exercise through bike riding, walking among others.
Reading books of some successful women who are thriving in their field of work also help improve me. This makes me gain some knowledge of how their successes their mistakes to better help build myself. Day in day out as individuals there is the need to improve on yourself because as women, we are so powerful than we think.
Thanks for your attention. This is my way of developing myself personally.
